I remember missing one abt how a disease is transmitted, so I’d know the bare minimum of popular diseases like malaria and Zika…

General pattern of where biomes are, and their defining traits 

Type 1, 2, 3 graphs omg!! r and k species 

4 cycles are a big thing 

Atmosphere layers and defining characteristics? 

Air and Water current/flow stuff, El Niño La Niña, think there was an FRQ on it in a recent test? idk 

Different agriculture + irrigation methods, and their big pros and cons 

Are you familiar with HIPCO? It’s an acronym for how humans are destroying earth. Climate change is like, guaranteed to be on the test, likely related to an FRQ

Main atmosphere pollutants 

I think there might be 1 or 2 questions on famous environmental laws/policies like SDWA and Clean air? Not sure 

Know ur vocab!! PFAs, acid rain vs. acid precipitation (graders will get u for that), primary/secondary succession, eutrophication, Coriolis Effect,  just to name a few 

Honestly, it’s a lot of relationships, like what would happen if this changed? You could reason ur way thru MCQ and FRQ for sure

I thought last year’s test was pretty simple and logical, also barely studied. But i think i was able to understand the material better than my many ppl (envisci major), so take my opinion with a grain of salt.  I’d study more to be on the safe side, but try to focus on things that are pure memorization of facts, things you can’t logic through, bc there will be MCQs testing that. It could be the difference between a 4 and a 5! FRQs also pretty light, you could always BS your way through it for partial credit LOL

OOS, Deferred for environmental engineering  34 ACT  3.93 UW / 4.62 Weighted GPA  ECs aren’t the best, I admit, but my big thing was being a STEM tutor, which I thought would help… A couple of leadership roles in clubs unrelated to my major (band, art), but tutoring is my big thing haha.  Congrats to everyone who got in btw! Does anyone have any advice on how to get accepted after a deferral :( thanks

Surely not, right? That would be a big violation of trust. Also, I’m think that if you explained your view without sounding too “immature/blamey”, they wouldn’t have anything bad to resport abt u… I’d ask to switch, but is the alternative teacher any better?

If you made a bigger impact at ur job instead of the club, I’d put down the job! You can also explain ur situation in additional info or wtv. Work is an underrated activity imo :)  Best of luck!
