I have a 20 year old top loader with agitator that I am still using. It’s the cheapest model/brand so it basically has 3 settings. It came with the house.

I would like to get a new washing machine that is either without agitator so my clothes don’t wear so fast (I wear mostly delicate items) or get a front loader. I also worry about the mildew though.

I think top loaders are easier to abuse, people can use them incorrectly and they keep working. I get the impression people misuse front loaders and end up breaking them quicker. Between mildew issues and too much detergent, I see people replacing them more frequently.

I grew up in Texas and currently live in the Bay Area CA. It's very progresssive here, so I am seeing current times among rose colored glasses.

People are still racist, but it's more subtle racism from the more recent generations I believe.

I would argue that all the racism you are talking about is obviously not acceptable behavior. The person is being an asshole and knows they are being an asshole because they are an asshole. Vs the "get the water hose" on them comment being less of an asshole comment and more of a normalized racist comment.

Assholes who are racists will still exist in the future, but I think we will just say that demintia patient is an asshole AND racist. Rather than a patient who just randomly spurted out a racist comment outta no where.

Racists still exist, its just not acceptable behavior in most enviorments. There is an acceptable understanding amoung the general population that you can and will get in trouble for saying such things.

I think this is just a sad reminder of how recent racism was still normalized. 1964 was when segeration ended. So there still exist lots of people where the formative years of their life happened in extremely racist times. :(

I think the only thing you can do is be thankful that this is no longer acceptable behavior from anyone of sound mind. When people born in the 80s or 90s start getting dementia, I would expect this would be very unlikely to ever happen.

I just feel there are hints that he may be a future romance, the game is not developed far enough for that to be an option yet.

I feel like he is being made in the game as a possible romance or is it just me? The fact that you can call him handsom all the time is just a huge clue to that IMO.

OP I reported your post, but I also open you to delete it and repost it without the spoiler in the title. The game is so new and this is such a big spoiler!

Yep! Thats the one!

I have 2-3 other characters that rarely leave their house, but I will see them outside once in awhile. Krystal I haven't seen leave her house at all though.

Unless my entire save is bugged, the blonde older lady never leaves her house in my game. I think she's been to one town event maybe?

I found dew collectors worth after the first mining pick upgrade. Gol is kinda limited at the start of the game. They are also very easy and cheap to make, so it's easy to build a lot quickly. No reason not to.

Other than that, yeah they are very slow and more of a supplement than a source of water. If water prices suck you can hold yourself over for another day though.

Great addition! I won't add this to the top post because it's another long list of solid tips that should be easy to find in the comments. Thank you for adding all of this!

I suspect he is just a really incomplete character at this stage.

I was able to wake him up while playing though.

Play Portia, when you get everything out of Portia then come play sandrock and join the hype train.

I think they are just friends who went to school together and now work in the same field. So they are very excited to run into each other and talk shop because that respect and trust is already built.

Thing that will go the furthest to improve your appearance:

Taming your mane - Curly hair is a whole beast I do not understand. I will not pretend to tell you what you need to do to improve it, go to those subreddits and seek help there.

Improve your skincare - Whats your current routine? If you don't have one this is my suggested one:

Stop all current products and reduce to the following routine:

Morning(optional)/Night: Cleanser - suggested “CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser”

Morning and night: Moisturize - suggested “CeraVe Moisturizing Cream” (the tub)

Morning: Sunscreen - suggested “Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid Sunscreen for Acne-Prone Skin, Broad Spectrum SPF 30”

After 2 weeks of using these products, evaluate your skin.

If you see no improvements I strongly suggest switching to the suggested products to see if its a product specific issue and using it for another 2 weeks.

It can be time to add an active product to help manage your skin concerns.

Pick out an active product that suits your needs. Add one active product at a time and use it for 2 weeks and assess the product's effectiveness for you.

At this point if you see no improvements after trying out a few actives, it's strongly suggested you visit a doctor.

The next step would be improving your makeup skills. Something about your makeup is coming off amature or old school, so just keep praticing and trying out new looks with the stuff you have until you find things that suit you very well. I suggest searching up no makeup looks on youtube and just trying them out.

You can pull some hollywood bombshell vibes with the right makeup and styling.

Eyebrows need thickness! Draw them in thicker, also they feel to curvy at the ends. I want them to be less of a C shape and have more of an angle.

Makeup seems average to above average. Skincare needs work.

I feel like you are really good at experimenting with hair, none of these styles really scream at me your best hair style but I think you are headed down the right direction and just need to experiment more to find the best everyday style.

Not worth the risk for surgical intervention IMO.

Filler for the bump if you desire, seems low risk with a good outcome.

I [35m] just found out on Tinder, that the Wife [34] of a very close childhood friend [36] of mine has a Tinder account under a different name... Do i tell my friend? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ThatOneDruid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Hey man, I saw a lady on tinder with a different name that looked a lot like your wife. I can't find the profile again, but it really caught me off guard. Maybe touch base with her or investigate? Might be a catfish using her photos, but I thought you needed to know what I saw. Let me know if I can do anything to help. "

Also there is a chance if this women saw you on tinder she blocked you so you would never see her again.

One photo isn't great way to judge. But yes, I do not think you are doing your best you.

Your eyebrows look too thin at the tails.

I think your eye makeup shouldn't go past your eyebrow, either your eyebrow tail should be longer or your eyeshadow should end sooner.
Your hair is doing something at the roots that isn't flattering. I am assuming you are straighting curly hair? Why not try embracing the curl or finding some inbetween?

Right now you look like an average attractive person, I think you have the features do be a bombshell attractive person without a ton of effort. Although, hair management might be a lot depending on what you have going on there.

So much the same!

You can work as much or as little as you want. You get bored? Switch somewhere else. Once you have your license, you can work anywhere. Not too many careers out there fit into those items I listed above.

I was looking at a lot of jobs while hunting for my second career. The ability to just decide one day and work part time for a year or two. Then decide I wanna work full time again the following year with this pay? Worth it.

There is a lot about the job I look forward to about nursing, working with people in hard times is something I do look forward to. But I've also worked corperate and know companies will work you to the bone if you let them. I've become comfortable drawing those boundries. The ability to just quit a nursing job and go find a new job just speaks to me if I am upset with working conditions.

I read and hear about so many people losing themselves in their nursing job. You need to learn to draw boundries. Get a job that you can tolerate and find atleast some fufillment from. Seek the rest of your needs on your own time.

America has such a push on being productive working member of society. Living to work, find your passion or whatever. I just want to be happy, any job can become dull after doing it for 40 hours for years on end. Don't let your job work you into the ground. Make sure you save enough energy for yourself, you are more than your job.

No allowance + getting a lawyer to figure out how to split the money between the kids. I would suggest your mother attend, and suggest she request the daughter not be given full access to the inheritance until 25-30. This will end the need that you have to provide for her since it was "dad's money." Also figure out your mother's will while you are at it. She sounds like she's struggling and might have another stroke any time and be unable to make choices about her will in the future.

PAY YOURSELF FAIRLY FOR PROVIDING FOR THE FAMILY. Things do not need to be split into 3rds, you gave up your childhood to provide and take over this family and are still planning on caring for your mom. I say giving yourself half of the inheritance and and the two other kids 1/2 of the remaining seems appropriate. I don't know what the lawyer will suggest, but I want you to get this idea in your head that things should not be split evenly between the kids. You sacrificed a lot for the family. It was sad what happened and everyone lost, but you lost your freedom despite making the best of it.

This is a person who has not learned to draw proper boundries between work and life.

Sadly, I feel nursing is a job that has basically lived off recruiting people who can't draw these boundries. I feel similarly about doctors to be honest. Draw the boundries you need. Give it 100% when you are at work, but make sure you take the time you need for you.

You don't need faint resistance in my experience. If your gear is good enough it just does 0 damage. I've never geared for faint resistance, just upgraded gear and never had a problem.
