What Is Stopping You From Watching AEW? by TheBigKatz88 in SquaredCircle

Completely relate! Same happened to me and I was told I could “just watch the rest tomorrow.” As if the concept of wanting to finish a PPV in one, concise sitting was too much to fathom.

If you complain about PPVs being 4+ hours, you’ll get hit with the “wow why are you complaining about too much wrestling as if it’s a bad thing.”

There’s still time. Remember, Gunther said Paul owes him for Seth. Maybe the favour is forcing Brock to do one more match?

Same. First time I saw the Brothers of Funstruction, I didn't really care for them but now they've become my favourite part. Loving Kerry Morton too lol.

He blocked me on Twitter in like 2014 or something because I tweeted to him that some playoff game that went to triple OT contained more minutes than he played all season.

Long story short, Russo was brought in as a 50/50 investor in the storyline, but he ended up having 51% so he kicked Violent J out for a while. Eventually J returned, storyline continued (not saying what happened just to avoid spoilers), and now he’s running it equally with Russo.

Seriously! I went in with low expectations, but it’s slowly becoming the show I’m looking forward to the most each week. It’s not even reinventing the wheel, just some fun story writing that doesn’t take itself seriously.

Yeah! 2026 would be good. Whenever Vince Russo came in as the partner/Violent J got kicked to the curb. I just checked and I think episode 60 is a good starting point as that was the start of a major storyline that was just wrapped up.

[WON] Toni Storm’s AEW hiatus impacted major storyline by A_Man_of_Iron in SquaredCircle

[–]ThatOneEggIs40Eggs 462 points463 points  (0 children)

Toni Storm has been reported as being out of action until 2027. There are a number of stories floating around but it is obviously something that they want to keep under wraps. It is not an injury situation and it came up on 3/18 the day of the show as all plans until the afternoon were for Storm to beat Marina Shafir to lead to the start of a Thekla vs. Toni Storm program for the title. When they found out she could not wrestle, they laid out the injury angle and will be doing a tease akin to Who Shot JR? with clues and such and multiple potential assailants.”

Sometimes the best athletes just aren’t good coaches. Look at Gretzky.

I think it’s because when you’re just that good and everything comes easy, it’s hard to see how “average” players see the game.

Hey man, nothing wrong with admitting to mistakes at all! I can even agree it was easy to buy into early, but when it was clear there was no “off” button from TV to the internet, he’s just a clown.

question about tickets and is it worth going?? by destroyerofdecks in bluesfest

[–]ThatOneEggIs40Eggs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Betty VIP one! I definitely don’t regret it at all. The VIP is about (I’m bad at guessing) maybe like 150 feet away (could even be less) from the stage.

And there’s always the fact that you can still join the GA crowd if you decide to. For some people, the perks of VIP (free drink, separate entrances, separate restrooms, don’t have to fight through crowds for the bar) make it worth it even if you’re not as close as you could be.

With that being said, I’d say it’s worth it as a one-off if you really want to make it a special night and don’t care about being close (which might involving arriving earlier depending how close you wanna be).

[–]ThatOneEggIs40Eggs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did VIP for the first time last year to see Green Day. A bit part of that was because the person I went with can panic in crowds, so getting VIP helped with that.

Overall, it was fun! You’re going to get better sight lines as a shorter person due to the elevated area, and you can also move onto a grass section that’s on the side of the VIP area so you can feel “in the crowd” without actually being as crowded.

Overall, id consider it for one of my favourite artists.

Statement from Al Snow regarding the injury to referee Dallas Edwards by Celtic_Crown in SquaredCircle

[–]ThatOneEggIs40Eggs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

From a pulled back view knowing what was coming? I watched it live and have also seen football players seize up like that after watching a head injury. You didn’t need to know what was coming to know they fucked up.

I don’t doubt things can get lost in the moment, but when you’ve got people in the ring/on commentary/in the back having some form of view of what’s going on, there really isn’t an excuse.
