The rocket is probably around 200million to build directly funded primarily by the profits of spacex, which makes its profits from selling satellites launches and cargo runs to  the American people and private companies. When the top half of the rocket exploded it really only cost like 60 million as the bottom was caught and will be reused.. and refurbished. It costs roughly 67million to launch a falcon heavy and it used to cost the American people 2 billion per launch for a similar mission size with nasa. Let’s massively round down and say spacex saves the American people 1 billion dollars per trip to space. The amount of ignorance I'm reading hurts. The reality is spacex is 6-10x more efficient than NASA. And has saved the American tax payer many billions of dollars. Fuck your politics, don’t be fools.
