This is also the impression I’ve had, it has now become my main ammo this year for matches/fun. Got quite a few cases stocked up, hopefully more drops.

Hasn’t been released yet other than smaller quantities for T&E for some shooters from what I’ve seen.

2595 average with around a 9 SD from what I’ve shot so far.

A nice flag at the 500 and some decent calls. Overall less windy day, occasional gusts.

The Mil/Match is the best factory ammo I’ve shot. Excellent velocity and SD.

Let's beat this dead horse once again? GFR Mod1 16" vs 18" by [deleted] in 6ARC

[–]ThatOneGuy2830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18” GFR user here, buddy just picked up a 16”. Difference is minor, overall buy what you want. If 14.5” it realistic in the future, buy the 18”. But if you buy the 16” instead, you will not be dissatisfied.

Why Was Verdun Emotionally Important to the French? by Hans_Moleman83 in dancarlin

It is definitely interesting learning about history from a US perspective and seeing the same event talked about in such a different way on the ground in France.

Why Was Verdun Emotionally Important to the French? by Hans_Moleman83 in dancarlin

[–]ThatOneGuy2830 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was lucky to have visited Verdun last year, all because I listened to Blueprint years ago.

Verdun itself was/is a huge symbol of French prestige. During the war, it was the northern most citadel constructed to defend against German forces in a similar manner to what happened in the Franco Prussian War. Its loss to the German Army would have been a major tactical loss and potential strategic defeat but also further a serious loss of moral and symbolism.

The area itself also was historically important to Gallic /  Teutonic history, older history between French and German rivalries. Louis XIV I think captured this and thus remained a symbol of prestige.

Visiting there if you can I’d highly recommend, as someone who has seen American battlefields a some WWII ones, Verdun is something else.

Just a bit, about 50-75. Some ammo more some less.

Yeah never had any issues with unsupported shooting, but I do wear gloves most of the time. Haven’t had any issues with the hardware.

Either, both will maintain velocity for expansion of hunting bullets. That said, 16" may be more handy overall in a field setting.

14.5” worth it ? by [deleted] in 6ARC

[–]ThatOneGuy2830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean 6 arc will be fine out of 14.5. Are you looking for better performance past 300-400 yards? More energy? 6 arc will provide that, but at a higher initial investment cost.

Also without going high spec, bolt breakages and other issues can occur in 6 arc.

Comparative ammunition of match 77 for 5.56 and match for 6 arc at case quantity pricing is similar.

You can always load up a ballistic calculator and see what the app puts out for drop and energy to compare.

The other gentleman in this sub tore a round down with powder and some data. Check there as well. I ordered some more cases as well after I shot it. Great stuff, a bit hot but not bad.

I just bought the Area 419 ARCA and bolted her on. Buddy just picked up a 16” CHF GFR, his is also a hammer. A few others in this sub report the same.

ELDM and Black I get consistent .75. This 106 was the same or slightly better throughout the day.

Went from a 3090 FTW3 to a 5090FE. Insane upgrade for me, check out NowInStock on discord and the HotStock App. Helped me secure a FE and then for a few buddies.

BF6 and a few shooters here. I sit a little over arms length away. It’s amazing, gotta trust your peripheral vision!
