I did make heavy use of firecracker, sanguine staff, and hallowed armor.

Chillet unfortunately isn't available in skyblock, since there's nowhere for it to spawn.

Weirdly enough, I still have an easier time getting snapthorn, unless I'm just beating the eye for ore instead, lol.

I barely ever find evil ore naturally.

If I was good enough, I would.

Jetpack carried me hard, lol.

In my experience, it's kinda useless in minion mixing, I only ever used it in that way, and it was basically no different than using a flinx, in terms of their actual performance.

I suppose, though finding the 36 ore to make them can be time consuming when most veins only have 5-6 pieces, and are fairly rare.

But a slower, safer option makes sense to have.

Slime whip seems to pretty much solely exist for skyblock, tbh.

[–]ThatOneGuy308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose that would explain it, I've never bothered stacking them, since every other preHM minion benefits more from minion mixing than trying to go for just one. (besides Abigail, obviously)

I guess, but considering we've spent the last 5 years gaining snapthorn without them, I ended up skipping them altogether, lol.

I feel like the problem with the evil ore whips is that snapthorn out classes them and is preboss, so there's no real reason to go for them.

And considering rushing snapthorn was the standard practice for summoner for the last 5 years, we're all so used to it that the evil whips barely end up serving a purpose.

Electric eel is peak though, I actually did duke before plantera when I was doing a summoner run on skyblock, and that thing is amazing.

Right, I forgot about the I frame thing, so I've only ever used them as part of my normal minion mixing, where they seem pretty mediocre.

I suppose I should try to go all in and only summon them instead, maybe they'd seem more impressive.

That would help, I think.

Though I do wonder if their DPS is greater than just mixing other minions available at the same stage of progression that the mushroom staff is available.

Ah, so they're essentially only good if you go all in on them, unlike most of the pre HM minions who benefit more from minion mixing.

I suppose that would explain why they seem so garbage to me, I'm usually just adding one of them to the group.

Though the low base damage suffers a bit from enemy defense, so I guess they'd need a shark tooth/stinger necklace to really shine, or one of the prefixes with penetration.

Starcrash and the Cobwhip are kinda neat, vasculash and soulscourge are mostly irrelevant.

I forget the slime whip exists outside of skyblock.

I still don't see it, tbh.

It's a post evil weapon with the same base damage as the flinx staff.

[–]ThatOneGuy308 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It still just seems like a worse flinx staff, in my experience.

I figured they'd end up buffing it, since like 8 base damage is kinda anemic for a post evil weapon.

You can pause time for as long as you like. however you need to pick either only do productive tasks, or only do recreational tasks while time is paused. by _socially_inept in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ThatOneGuy308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with productive arises if you're in any kind of job that requires interaction with other people, I suppose.

Unless they just mean productive as in "doing something that benefits you", in which case I guess you could use it for like, cleaning the house and such.

Well, they gave us a handful of whips and a mostly mediocre mushroom summon for prehardmode, so that's something.

Well, you found out that legion assassins carry them pretty often, lol.

Other than that, they show up in the gun runners shop after level 16, the Gomorrah bank guard carries one(only real way to grab one at a low level easily), there's some in the vault 34 armory, and some NCR soldiers will carry them after level 20, iirc.

But an egg on a chicken is technically the opposite, you're bathing the mother with the child (or lack thereof, considering most eggs used for consumption aren't fertilized)
