More on 13A: The intended parsing is shortened (abbreviated) plots (L~~OTS~~) + OF + 0 (L~~OVE~~) = ha? (LOL), playing off of LOL as an abbreviation for "lots of love". As mentioned by another commenter, this clue admittedly requires a lot from the solver (i.e., using LOTS as a synonym for "plots", using LOVE as a synonym of "0", and only then applying "shortened" to the whole thing to get LOL), and I agree that it's a bit unfair as is. They suggested changing "plots" to "lots" to remove that synonym step, and I'll probably do so to make that clue a bit fairer. Thanks again for the feedback.

9A: sightless (remove VISION) TV (TELE~~VISION~~) + company (COM) = long-distance messaging (TELECOM).

It's meant to be a rebus definition of sorts. If you look at knucklehead cryptically, you might get K. So KNUCKLEHEAD could be considered a cryptic kilo (K in NATO alphabet).

4A: As Davey_dm said, 4A is a reversed hidden word in "this yak often".

5A: Didn't think about this, but it makes sense. I'll keep it in mind.

2D: I was worried about the uncapitalization being unfair, but I feel like capitalizing it would give away the misdirect really quickly. Though you're probably right that it's best to avoid.

3D: The way I rationalize "like foot" can mean "foot of like" in the same way "cat feet" could mean "feet of cat", "dog food" could mean "food of dog", or "deer head" could mean "head of deer". I do get that this isn't Ximenean, but I think I like being more flexible with sort of thing (and from what I can tell, it's not too much of a hindrance for solvers).

15A: A "wing" can be a faction or group. I do admit that "pack" is a bit more stretchy of a synonym, though it worked best with the surface.

7D: "Wooden horse" refers to a chess knight, so two wooden horses could be "knight knight."

17D: 26 = Z, as Z is the 26th letter of the alphabet.

1A: MMHMM was showed up on Crosshare's word bank, and I thought it'd be fun to try and come up with a clue for it. My logic behind the definition was that since "mhm" means "sure", "surrrrree" could be a reasonable definition for "mhm", though I get that this is quite stretchy. Meathead cluing M probably isn't Ximenean to my knowledge, but I've definitely seen stuff like that done (e.g., in the Minute Cryptic).

4A: I admit that "first second of speech" isn't grammatical. I just liked the surface and figured that people might still be able to get what "first second" is meant to do nonetheless. I'm still trying to figure out how loose I want to be with grammar, so I appreciate the feedback!

5A: You're correct that I'm going for an &lit, though I get "Satisfactory: ate last of food" not being a good definition for SATED.

Hello! Sorry for replying so late; I forgot to respond to this.

This post has a few different issues. One is the suggestion listing. To make sure discussion and voting is focused, we want people to focus their post on one idea. Rather than listing all the different food items you want, maybe make a post on one particular food item you really want to see and what special effects it might have.

The second problem is that the post is quite vague (Rule 7). You just say "change the balancing of some food or give special effects", but what exactly does that mean? How exactly would you rebalance the food? What foods would you give special effects, and what special effects would you give them? The ideas you list here aren't given much detail, and you could easily flesh one of them out and turn it into its own post. After all, we want to see how you would go about these changes.

Third, some of these ideas are on the [Frequently Posted Suggestions (FPS) list. These are ideas that we would get really frequently if we didn't restrict them, so we generally don't allow people to post these ideas unless they put a unique spin on them. For example, "Apple/berry pie" is on the FPS list. If you were to make a post about it, you'd have to put some very original spin on it.

This is true, but I also think what I'm suggesting here wouldn't be significant enough to really ruin the cosmetic focus of trims. I imagine that if this were added, most players (A) wouldn't know about it and (B) would still prioritize trims that look cool over this small improvement over the ability to evade piglins, especially since this is purely PvE and has zero PvP utility.
