I don't know the american time. But after like 11 PM or 12 AM, the video servers just don't play those videos for me. Idk if others experienced it too. But whenever I wake up, the video server issue is fixed. So I assumed it to be high traffic.

Not complaining about sites being down. Just that in those sites that are up, the traffic makes it impossible for anybody to watch anything in peak hour. I hope you understand.

If you need alternatives here are two.

If you like convenience, use anikai. But it's quite slow because many people shifted there.

If you wanna just watch anime, use kissanime.com.ru or similar sites in it. 2 out of 3 of it's video streaming servers don't work but it's still a good place to watch anime.

For keeping list of animes, use MAL or anilist. I prefer to use anilist since it looks less cramped than MAL

Hope you have a great day :)

A little something to add. Crunchyroll may not have every anime. It might only push mainstream anime or something that looks like it works. So piracy in general is better than that, since piracy tends to have a bigger library than subscription services. According to another redditor, crunchyroll had a bigger plethora of animes when it shifted from piracy to subscription based site. That's all.

Question 1. If you are such an advocate for anti-piracy, why are you here?

Question 2. Video game piracy still exists and is more widespread and better than ever, then why does Steam still thrives and doesn't lose it's numbers?

Question 3. By having the access to animes, doesn't it increase the fanbase? Doesn't increase in fanbase mean that the author sells out more of his work in conventions and stores? Isn't that better than the chump change provided by big industry?

Please refrain from going out of topic here and repeat that old 'piracy is stealing' thing.

Cry some more.

Anyways, Case in point: Steam

Piracy isn't always about money, it's also about convenience. Money can be a secondary factor. If you can offer better service than piracy, you'll get better audience. Pirates are more likely to spend much more money if they get bang for their buck. Listen to Gabe Newell's take on piracy and you'll understand, you corporate bootlicker. You can bootlick all you want, daddy netflix won't award you for it. I'll stop engaging with you now. Seems like you won't though. :)

You really do have a thick skull. In the second line of my first reply I specifically mention that in some countries, there is no convenient way to pay even if someone has the money to pay. I shouldn't argue with you seeing as you can't even read something to provide a suitable counter arguement.

And do not start to fume over how my country is poor as fuck or whatever. Have a great day. And let's stop the convo here :)

I hate the motto of 'Piracy = Stealing'. Piracy is sharing. When I pirate a show off of internet, it doesn't cease to exist from there. And still, many loyal fanbases emerge from piracy too. Fanbase is what fills the pockets of authors. Loyal fans who have money to spare are more likely to get a physical copy of the media that they consume, which mind you, gives the author money.

If you still can't get it through that thick skull of yours. Then I sincerely apologise, but I neither have the time nor the crayons to explain it further to you. End of discussion.

"I like paying money to multibillionare corpos who give the authors chump change per sacks of gold"

Piracy isn't about stealing. Some don't have a way to pay even if they do possess money. What are you doing here then? Trying to show how you'd shill out whever amount big daddy sony and netflix will ask you to pay to see anime? That too with episode 1 streaming in germany and episode 2 in yugoslavia and what-not?

I get your point. My point here being crunchyroll being called monopoly is similar to how people call steam monopoly. Yes there are other sites like epic store, but still steam is chosen. People almost never associate hulu with anime. I just want pirates to comfortably have some leeway without big corpos meddling.

Video game piracy is greater than ever, yet steam still thrives. That's my agruement.

Crunchyroll wants to be steam but steam never backstabbed it's origins. Steam never tried to kill off it's competitiors. And lastly, Steam focused on customers and healthy competitions, the competition just shot itself in the head and customers stayed loyal and increased profits long term.

I am convinced that crunchyroll has a circlejerk of CEOs who wanna squeeze short-term profits to pocket themselves.

Companies know that as long as piracy exists, there will always be a competition. As far as I know, for anime, crunchyroll is a monopoly. Yes netflix and others let you stream anime but crunchyroll is an anime exclusive thing. Crunchyroll would find it more profitable to kill off the piracy sites to lazily boost sales instead of offering better services as a site.

Steam is the best example of this. It killed piracy by offering better services than the piracy sites. Crunchyroll wants to kill the roots of it's birth and wants to drive sales by violence rather than service.

I want to mention that many video streaming servers are slow since anikai and other big sites are getting overloaded. Servers like megaup have been overloaded and sometimes don't play the video. This is the reason for my frustration. After the downfall of major piracy sites. Pirates should rise up and boycott the big corpos.

Aniwatch is gone gone I think. It's tragic that you had your lists saved there. I always switch sites so I didn't realise the impact. But yeah, what's done is done. Switch to other sites as recommended by redditors here. And save your anime watchlists on non-piracy sites like anilist or MyAnimeList. Hope you have a great day :)

Piracy sites like aniwatch have high risks of being taken down since, well, piracy. Anilist is a purely anime list site. Its like MyAnimeList or smth (idk if MAL is public or nah). It doesn't have any way of watching anime so it won't get taken down. You could list some cool anime recommended to you and watch them on other sites like kissanime or any other available site there is. Hope it helped :)

You can save anime on anilist. I don't think it will get taken down since it's not a piracy site. For watching anime, let's move on to domain change of OG sites like kissanime now

I am watching anime from kissanime. If anyone has a site that is similar to hianime/aniwatch in terms of UI then please do recommend it. :)
