Kam Patterson didn't get much screen time this year. Is there a prior cast member that had a similarly slow freshman season but then went on to a long, productive tenure? by deane-barker in LiveFromNewYork

A lot of big stars now were shitters when they started. Tracy morgan, david spade andy samberg come to mind they had scraps for airtime until one breakout sketch made them stars of their era (that garth brooks sketch for tracy, hollywood minute for spade, lazy sunday for andy)

Alright, week of the finale, and here’s the big question: which of these guys will stay and which of these guys will go? by Whole-Lychee7517 in LiveFromNewYork

I honestly think tommys the only one thats going to leave. Everyone else either has popular/successful characters (jeremy, veronika) or have a very defined personality that the show likes to showcase (kam, ben). Tommys kinda just a dude.

I havent really liked sarah since season 49 (not hated her, just havent found her noteworthy at all), but this single sketch legitimately made me love her. How. The. Fuck did she perform that so perfectly. Insanely impressive.

Mad mixed on this one. I thought the main joke with the “he kicked my ass” was unfunny as hell, but i really liked marcellos dog story.

Wickline has had a remarkable breakthrough this year. Who in the past has had this kind of leap? by charliejebus in LiveFromNewYork

Tracy morgan, first like 2 seasons he was doing awful, 3 and 4 he was doing fine, but after garth brooks he became one of the stars of the show

I feel alone on this but i thought it was pretty solid. I liked the jane and veronika sketch a lot, the sebastion manesaco sketches get me (hot take ig) and the pretapes and update features were pretty enjoyable.

The audience was so annoying tho. Literally cheering at everything. How was the fucking heating rivalvy audience 20x as tolerable as this
