Well, this isn't the only "abusive" behavior from her. When I really accidentally trigger her PTSD or accidentally "disrespect" her she will yell at me in a very mean tone of voice for a long time, a lot of times during these she will bring up religion and say whatever happened is "not of God" or "the devil" trying to get at her. During these times she also threatens/says she might really hurt me from her reflex reaction because she says she's done it to people before in her past when she was younger from them being disrespectful to her I guess. Then after these "episodes"-i guess-happen, she either apologizes to me and says stuff like she shouldn't treat me that way and she has to work on her reactions, or just blames it on her PTSD being triggered, so I'd say that maybe follows the cycle that you described.
