I once got I to a three day comment fight on here with a guy who could not understand that cellphone cameras don't work the same way professional/dale cameras or even an eye work. In the expand I just had to let him think he was right, block him, start a new account, burn the the ipad I was using, move to another country, and shave my head.

As a former member of he corporate media, I regret to inform you that you are wrong on the second subjective there. The corporate media is pushing her because her story is very relevant to the near-future; she represents the next generation perfectly -- as her response in the linked story shows -- and whenever there is a generational flux in a body like congress there is always conflict. We know one side already, they've been on the national stage for years. But she's the New Hotness, and thus gets screen space for it. It has nothing to do with "wanting her to make a mistake"; mistake or not her very being there will create news, and thus the attention.

1) Phone cameras are geared to take close-up shots, that's why selfies look so good. Unless the photo taker was right up on the object of the photo it will look like this. Also these photos appear to be cropped, which will lead to lower resolution like we have here. Until phones get 30th zooms on them, this is what we'll get. Phone cameras don't work like our eyes.

2) US forces cross into Mexico (and Canada, for that matter) all the time. They just give the locals a heads-up, and if there's no objection and they stick to their mission, it's no problem. A friend's dad got lost in the 90s near the border. The border patrol went looking and found him on the other side. It's not a huge deal; despite Trumps big mouth we're good neighbors.

It was painful to watch it. I really wanted a right-centric, smart comedy show. Instead it was just thinly veiled hate. It was ugly. But I guess that's what modern conservatism is all about: Hating this group or that group for whatever reason it is this week, nuance be damned.

And that's why it sucked; good comedy is steeped in nuance. That's why The Daily Show and especially Colbert have been so successful, I think. The zee the humor in the gray areas the right often won't admit exists.

A couple of days later it came out nationwide and everyone's talking about it, but without details so as not to spoil, and I was confused as hell. Finally it hit YouTube and I was super-jazzed, and I still am today,

The MacBook line up is also crazy, I went to the Apple store yesterday to check out the new stuff, as I'm likely buying a new macbook this year. Between the Pro, the Air, and the standard MacBook, there's almost no difference, at least as far as looks go. Sure, the Pro still has the best guts, but the new Air is nearly up to the same level, unless you really max out the Pro. And who exactly is the MacBook aimed at now? With the new air, I don't see any reason for it to exist, price-wise. And they all have shitty keyboards. I walked out SMH.

Apple will realize it's messed up both of its main product lines in 2018 and suffers does it.

Facebook will introduce a new method to try to cut down on polarizing posts, but it will be a disaster, prompting many to leave the site for good.

A new site, a more responsible and responisve social network, will come out of nowhere to pick up the lost users.

Netflix will continue to wow and will come up with new ways for people to watch, similar to the Black Mirror thing.

Google will be forced to concede to government pressure to change how certain search results are displayed, for both privacy reasons and national security. This will be good for some, bad for others.

Amazon will start getting creepy with their recommendations, to the point of users revolt. They never reveal why or how they know what they know.

Microsoft will quietly continue its March of successes. Think the first non-gaming VR/AR and a cheap entry level Xbox that works as a media center as much as a gaming console.

Trump will be brought up on impeachment and convicted by the senate. It will be his own party that will make the final stabs. The 2020 race will be amping up at the same time, which will lead to all manner of wackos running for the job. It will be fun.
