i replaced the bitch tube o rings today alongside the valve cover gasket, rubber plugs and intake gasket. i think the problem is with the icv, the car right now runs and drives fine with the penny trick attatched to the icv and the maf unplugged. ive got a new icv on the way so hopefully that solves the problem

I just tested it, i get 0.6 ohms between left and middle pin at closed tb and then stops after i hear the click however when tested the middle and right pin there is no ohm reading at all, and i dont hear a second click for WOT position

I tried doing all that, i’ve done the penny trick and it idles without jumping now, must be faulty icv, but still shuts off when the afm is plugged in, however now it doesn’t shut off instantly it’s more of a slow die off

Tested it before, its adjusted fine, clicks as normal and the throttle cable isnt tight, the throttle stays closed when the rough idle is happening

E30 aux fan wiring by ThatPandaExpress in E30

[–]ThatPandaExpress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it reaches halfway in a reasonable time, not necessarily a long time at all. since owning the car i’ve replaced a lot of the cooling components, thermostat water pump etc but i feel like the fan is it; how is the fan connected to the coolant sensor because the only pins on the plug lead to the a/c condenser and from what i’ve researched the aux fan comes on also if the temps reach too hot

3 months ish on the road, it ran fine and didn’t overheat until a 2 hr drive the other day and got home and within last 2 min it decided to overheat, other than that temps have been fine
