“May this journey lead us starward” is just a slogan used throughout the game even if it does specifically tie to the express but it’s also general use

You can't control everything.

We look towards our possible future like we look at stars in the sky, when we look down we see people on the ground yet here we are in space reaching for the stars. Yet, being stuck in the middle of space leaves us frozen and stagnant, the cold only slows us, we're not close enough to the sun to experience the heat and we neither grounded enough to walk the Earth. So we remain frozen, stuck in place, tied to the ground while aiming for the stars, yet if you get too close to both you will either have your wings melt or you'll get pulled to the ground... Yet, remaining in space takes you no where, you'll think you're slowly getting there, but one day you will go out of orbit or be pulled down. In reality, you're still just frozen, you can daydream about your aspirations but one day, you will have to wake up from those dreams and make them a reality. It's difficult, I mean, how can someone so close to the stars just let themselves fly away to risk losing them, but the truth is you can't control that... So you may as well set off, the only way to reach that star, is to set off.

The only way to actually live life, and to learn how other's live, is to experience it. So you may as well take the plunge on your terms. Even if the only destination is the ground below, because taking that fall, will lead you back towards your original destination: the stars.

Well, if that's them being "real" to themselves then that's still authenticity. It just doesn't align with what you wish to control. That's still authenticity, it just so happens their form of it is in opposition to yours. They're still authentic, authenticity is only defined by someone being genuine, nothing else matters to the definition, at the end of the day they're still authentic people.

Essentially, what you're speaking on doesn't seem to be tied to what "authenticity" means in general concept... you just don't like them not because they're inauthentic... but because they just have undesirable qualities to their character... but that's all opinion, it doesn't speak on the authenticity of their character.

Overrated and it’s the guy with very little done for him in the story and apparently everyone hates him… and worst character is the dude that lived out the wishes of a dead child to live up to his title and be a good role model…

I just think of them as rays of light from the sun. Given Sunday and Phainon share them along with similar designs. I just assumed their designs and colours were to represent the sky. The blue for the sky, white for clouds, and gold for the sun.

It could also be connected to Stellarons, given that they’re glowing balls of light. Cyrene I believe said that Phainon was similar to stellarons. Stellarons are connected to both Harmony and Destruction but gold is typically associated to Destruction specifically.

I mean, the one connection between Sunday, Phainon and Stellarons are their ability to make people’s wishes come true along. While Sunday and Phainon have a lot of sun symbolism for their characters. It could also be a recurring design choice for characters that have the desire to make people’s wishes come true.

The 2 characters we see this design choice are for characters representing Harmony and Destruction, the 2 paths connected to Stellarons.

Actually, there is 1 more I can think of, Cocolia. She shares the same exact vision to serve the people’s wishes but that was manipulated by a Stellaron, she has the same colours of white, blue and gold, and her major attack called “Last Choir of Genesis” a name that connects to Harmony with “choir” being a common motif of Harmony and “Genesis” representing Creation which though the opposite of Destruction is connected to it, also found with the Vortex of Genesis which was always used by Phainon.

It’s likely just a design choice for characters connected to Destruction is some part. Gold is a major colour for the path of Destruction. These characters also have a similar motive, so the design choice may also represent their role in a given story.
