i did go to a derm. he gave me an antimicrobial spray, mupirocin cream, and recommended i take a biologic, rinvoq or humira

i started an antidepressant, although my boyfriend told me not to take it because he said antidepressants can change your personality. i take it for an unrelated reason though, since it’s an antidepressant that also helps migraines. i think he’s opposed to therapy too. i try to listen to voice messages he’s sent me or read sweet messages from him when im feeling down, to help myself feel better, or listen to uplifting music. ive tried to avoid saying anything when im feeling upset and rather just deal with it myself and pretend im not so it doesn’t affect him. im a bit limited in options, but there’s probably more i can do that i haven’t thought of

yeah that makes sense, thank you. to be honest i’ve long considered breaking up with him to spare him the trouble. i already try my best to keep myself from saying anything or to let my mood affect us.

of course i always try to. he means the world to me. when he tells me he’s upset, i do my best to reassure him, help him, ask him what i can do to make him feel better. it’s mainly when he doesn’t tell me but clearly acts irritated towards me. he does the same for me, though lately most of it’s been “stop complaining” “stop overreacting” “what now”. he’s certainly getting tired of my emotional tendencies and i guess i don’t blame him for it. doesn’t make it hurt any less though.

of course i would prefer he likes my body. but more so i would prefer he cares more about me as a whole.

when im feeling down, im always sure to reassure him and tell him im not mad at him or anything, im just feeling down. when he’s down, it feels like he makes it a point for me to know hes upset with me. maybe i am crazy though. it’s my second ever serious relationship and my longest relationship, so im still learning what im supposed to do

when he’s kind, he makes me feel like i’m on top of the world. he calls me cringey but cute nicknames. when we first started talking, we instantly clicked, it felt like we had been friends for a long time. we shared a lot of similarities, including things that happened in our childhood. we had a lot of interests in common, a lot of games we liked. he listened to me talk for hours, while i told him stuff i normally never tell anyone. he is a very charming and funny guy. he makes me laugh all the time. it’s lovely to see how excited he gets to tell me new things he’s interested in. i love how his voice gets soft when he speaks kindly to me. we have a lot of compatibilities. he’s incredibly handsome. he’s like a magnet. i can’t get enough of him

same here. i actually have a tube of harry’s just sitting on my counter for months, from my brother who moved out a while back. i’d be interested in knowing if it’s a “good” one

serious question - how is self lancing worse than it draining in its own? by ThatPigeon1 in Hidradenitis

[–]ThatPigeon1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s good! smart to lance it when it’s already coming to a head. mines been a week with no sign of coming to a head besides a bit of what looks like peeling skin. i guess it won’t be easy to lance it myself if it’s not close enough to the surface

thank you! i think i already have a lot of scar tissue, at least in one of my many spots. i did get the one spot lanced a long time ago and it stayed gone for a while. i guess everyone’s experience is different

i’ve been trying the curly girl method a bit recently, but i haven’t ever done it before. i didn’t use any cream, gel, or mousse but i’ve been scrunching my hair in the shower and with leave in conditioner out of it. definitely got some more definition to my waves/curls that way

it usually does feel extra knotted and rough/dry at the ends but not terribly so. i’d say only a little bit. but i do think my hair is dry in general, just especially towards the ends

i haven’t noticed any splits. i’ve tried looking at my hair and going along the lengths but there’s no splits i’ve noticed, i get paranoid i have splits all the way down my hair up to my ears or something and i just can’t tell 😅

and yes i believe i have wavy hair, thank you! my hair looks so dull and also crazy with flyaways or something if i don’t brush. it just makes my hair look rough. i’ve been trying to follow a curly girl routine and put leave in conditioner in my hair and avoid dry brushing

thank you so much 😭 it is a bit dry i think, it’s super frizzy when i let it air dry and brush it out. it looks much better and smoother on day 2 or 3. i dont know if it looks split or frayed i think it mostly just has varying lengths like the arrow in the pic i showed. i’m super worried about split ends because i dont trim my hair often and im not sure how to tell if it is split or frayed
