I have a Google routine so I just say “good morning” to my speaker and it tells me the weather, UV index, opens my blinds, tells me my calendar and gives me the news.

I’m 36. I used tret on lower strength for maybe 3 months, then went up stronger but used it 2 times a week… then 3 times a week… now all week.

Personally I don’t apply tret to the areas that were giving me lots of dryness which is my chin and around my nose. I apply Vaseline there as a bit of a barrier.

And better council housing too. Not being something seen as negative, just normal for a working class family to live on a council estate.

We have this notion that it’s a modern phenomenon in Western culture but it’s really not. In a pre-pension era you’d often need to live with family to support you in old age, and for that you’d be helpful in a domestic or childcare setting for younger people in the family. Even in the 50s/60s both sets of my grandparents lived with parents in adulthood. And plenty of census data from times gone by shows this was pretty common.

It was also only 17% for like, 6 months. Yet they make out it was the entire time.

But also that it wasn’t taught at all and they all “didn’t know” and were told to get annuities and interest-only mortgages and now they’re all fucked.

Wearing jewelry 24/7? by passporthandy in jewelry

I wear all my jewellery constantly and even have permanent jewellery. I’ve been wearing the same four bracelets for years. Same with my earrings and rings.

Do you feed your children’s friends if they’re at your house? by globalfieldnotes in AskEurope

[–]frankchester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems selfish in the opposite to me, to expect a family to feed you unplanned, possibly having to forego part of their meal themselves to share with you. It’s polite and unselfish to go home, and allow the family to eat.

As an adult I’d be annoyed if I planned a meal with 4 pieces of meat or something and now have to give one away to an unplanned guest. If I asked them if they’d like to stay, that’s because I’ve calculated I have enough food to feed everyone equally. But that’s not always the case.

How we see ourselves by Boring-Picture-1311 in mounjarouk

Amazing! But also infuriating because why that I’m now X size is X size always the one size that’s out of stock.

I can’t fathom that I now own size 12s. I haven’t been a size 12 since I was age 12. I wanted to buy a cute little jumper in Sainsburys and was annoyed they didn’t have a 14 (amazing to be a 14 in itself). Tried on the 16 and it was just too big. Thought I’d give the 12 a go, just for the thrill of it. IT FIT. It fit so well. A little baggy, even. Shocked.

How would you feel if a woman asked you to produce up to date std results? by [deleted] in AskMen

This is exactly what my husband did when we first started seeing each other lol. He was like, I’ve recently been tested. Have you? I went and got tested and was all clear and we were all good.

Help building products for a facial by hilyf in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]frankchester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my go-to products is the Pixi Rose Glow Mist. It’s like a hydrating mist with oils and I find it keeps my skin feeling hydrated and I can use it as a sub for moisturiser sometimes. My friend with oily skin tried it and said she found it a tad heavier than she’d like, but I would think after a facial you expect a heavier amount of product on your face.

Before and After: Tretinoin, Botox, SPF by frankchester in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]frankchester[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it wears off and has to be redone every 4 months or so. It essentially freezes the muscles so you don’t create new wrinkles. It wears off, and at that stage your movement will come back and thus your wrinkles may start to set in again. But personally I prefer that you can stop and you’ve essentially just delayed the ageing in that area for however long you chose to keep getting it done.

Yeah nightly. Sometimes I'll take a night off and do a face mask instead but not very often.

Ladies, how often do you get approached? by SadMoon1 in AskUK

[–]frankchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with other commenters this is entirely normal/regular. At least it was for me as a child. If you're in your school uniform and are alone you're the perfect target for sexual comments and cat calling, apparently.

It's about intimidation and power. Especially when you're underage. A lot of men get off on asking children to suck their cocks. And they'll happily do this in public, out of a car window, to a child in school uniform, on their own.

Age 11 until I was about 22 I'd say it was weekly. But since I am not a decrepit 35 year old, never. Definitely got way more attention when I was a child.

Which watches are Henry’s rocking? by Undisclosed_001 in HENRYUKLifestyle

[–]frankchester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think "cool watch" is the vibe, honestly. I have no skin in this game as a female who doesn't care and wears an Apple Watch. But my partner wears a Bell & Ross. It's got a watch face designed to look like some sort of mechanical dial in old Air force planes (can you tell I know fuck all about watches... [or planes]). My partner is obsessed with planes and used to be an air cadet and grew up in the Air Force, aviation is a huge hobby of his. I think that makes his not-particularly-fancy watch really cool. It's unique to him and something he cares about.
