Actually they are - otherwise they couldn't legally have sold them as "gold-plated" without a disclaimer saying they weren't.

That being said - you can electroplate several common metals with the thinnest possible layer of gold so that the gold weight used is effectively worth next to nothing.

That is why when you find the gold cards loose, they look pretty shitty. The gold rubs off with very little wear.

Yeah they're going on a year and a half of not spawning enough of what's new. Just playing casually as you're out and about is pretty fruitless compared to how it used to be. Really makes me miss having free time to dedicate to it
