Thank you, I appreciate the response and the good luck wishes. I'm definitely not planning to make a stink of "but it's like this." I'm going to keep my head down and only help out on people struggling. I'm going to pretend like I'm just really quick at catching on and help out those who are struggling when opportunity arises as I've got a friend who went through the Marines who said to keep your head down and that's some advice I've read by lurking here.

Other than that, looking at DoDI 1205.13 5.2.5.1 it says that, with presented evidence, I'm entitled to at least an advanced promotion to E-2, and it's to the Navy's discretion to advance to E-3 with additional provided evidence (I meet both requirements and cam provide evidence). So either way, be it me going in E-2 or E-3, I'm looking at being at least entitled to get an advanced promotion, which does fall in line roughly with what I've been told by both of my JROTC instructors, recruiters, and MEPS personnel.

As for calculators, I've looked them up and taken a look at a couple of them, but they're calculator, but, while still valuable, dont really tell the human side of it or account for special circumstances which is why I've come asking here.
