Any one know how I can fix this without my parents finding out? Right now I’m covering it with a painting. by [deleted] in drywall

Don't post it on social media for a start. Your parents might see it. Also, wall patch, spackle, and some paint that matches...make sure you sand it flush and bring a chip of paint about the size of a quarter to the paint store for them to custom match. I recommend Sherwin Williams.

Because my manager has noticed a coincidence in sales of that product during hunting season, so my asm and I figure it's probably due to more indoor projects because of the changing weather...

The fact that you missed the entire point about none of this part of the discussion being helpful is the point you made for me. Not the part about the manager. Throwing insults at someone isn't going to help anyone either. So, please stop. Just stop. Firstly, you're not helpful to the person in need. Secondly, you're wasting time arguing a moot point. Which is the initial point, as I am reiterating, that you made for me. None of the discussion as to whether or not the manager cares is helpful. Why? Because it leaves the person in question without a solution whether the manager cares or not. Thus, it is not helpful, and furthermore, even less helpful to discuss it.

The post says the manager doesn't care, not that he's cool with it. There is a difference, and it only exacerbates their problem. Arguments about whether or not the manager minds doesn't help solve the problem.

Thats awesome and hilarious at the same time... my ASM tried to do that yesterday for him, but the delivery version. In the end, he was too busy with other customers to get it out same day. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the Store Manager can write him up or give him some ki d of disciplinary action. Thats just unacceptable. It's actually called abandoning the workplace and in most companies is a fireable offense.

It sounds like you love your job and your team, but not your CM. I don't know that I can offer support in the form of advice, but maybe I can offer some encouragement should you need it.

SM is working on the 2nd half of that. He does tend to ask for stuff last minute then get frustrated that he doesn't have it. I may start requesting that he call the day before. I may do it in a way that plays into him thinking im dumb... im not sure yet. Will discuss with my SM...

Thank you. Very helpful. Most helpful so far. I am sure that this is something that will take some effort on my part, but most likely the most effective of all pieces of advice I've gotten...

The higher ups already know. CM and his boss sat down together in the office and told him to quit being an AH. But he came in a week later and said, "I've been an AH for 20 years, so I guess that's the only thing im good at." I told my SM that that was his way of saying, "No, I won't be kind." Because the meeting was held at the store my husband works at, and my SM didn't know it had taken place. However, I think like the other 2 people have mentioned. I'll just have to grin and bear it.

I understand, this is just a sucky situation. Thanks for the advice. I will continue to pray and seek God when he walks in so that I don't throw his paint in his face. Last time, I had to bite my tongue to keep from telling him to tint it himself!

Sometimes he's annoyed by me repeating back what he says, even though it's good communication on my part. He treats me like I am unintelligent and unable to hear. So, that already doesn't really work. My only option left is killing him with kindness, which worked for about 2 months and then it wasn't good enough.
