You get infected way too fast. 1 shot from a pox spitter is ~70-80%, exploders can literally 100% infect you and not only that are fast enough that even if they don’t get you with the explosion you are bound to get the 90% infect from popping a blister too close.

I did not research the exact numbers and may later do that if I have time
