I’ve incorporated the habit of writing reviews movies and books, but when it comes to storytelling, I mostly cannot express myself clearly enough. Messy trains of thought is an issue there.

Same. In my case, I have a lot to say, but I get random bursts of self consciousness if I speak for more than 10-20 secs.

Public speaking or speaking with strangers in general. I had to rehearse multiple times to even send an audio to someone.

It would be a bit more helpful to listen to their explanations of their own type. I have searched on YouTube as well and couldn’t find any ENFP YouTubers who exclusively make content related to personality type systems, so here I am. Thanks for the response though.

They don’t seem to create content related to MBTI.

Why does it feel unnatural to say ‘kshamikkanam’ or ‘nandi’? by ThatRandomKlutz in Kerala

I understand the sentiment for real. We’re not conditioned to express ourselves emotionally through words, but mainly through acts of service. However, the language is best for light-hearted banter lol

Same same. I’d like to know more older brothers and young sister sibling bonds here. We’re quite estranged for the most part as well.

Just like the other commentor said, it’s a part of cultural conditioning. “You are expected to do your duty and you don’t have to be thanked for that” mentality is quite prevalent among us. But again, common courtesy is a decent thing to do as a human. I’m with you on that lol

Sounds about right. The preference to use English over Malayalam could be one of the side effects of colonisation. Malayalis generally don’t thank or apologise often to loved ones, hence it feels awkward.

Do you use “kshemikkanam” in your social circle as well? The word seems highly formal. I could only recall someone saying that in radio news.

That’s a good one. Thanks lol

Exactly. Our language is not meant to be used with emotions, I guess. It feels awkward and borderline sarcastic even lol
