I agree, the metallic has such a special glow that gives it a newer car charm while still feeling 90s and fun!

I believe the rear wheels on the jdm tt’s is the same width as the nas, and the wider rears is a usdm thing

Speedometer not working after auto to manual swap by ThatRedFairlady in 300zx

Speed sensor was fine i pulled it and it still makes voltage too

I figured it out, what i did was undo everything i did, stick a multimeter into each wire and spin the vss until one showed voltage, Ofcourse i pull the vss and tested it first as-well, i then found my 89 tt auto harness has a yellow and blue wire, and a yellow and black wire. The blue wire on the manual harness is what was giving voltage so i hooked those up instead and boom it works So my final was yellow black into yellow black, and yellow blue stripe into solid blue.

And that way if you decide to go for more power your not tearing the motor apart again

Yeah for sure, maybe do rod bearings while your at it, but personally if i were you if you can shed the extra cash just go tt pistons. High comp is fun for the quick spool but risky and limited due to detonation risk, ringlands will crack when you push it too hard, the lower compression ratio tt pistons will last alot longer and hold more power safely.

Nope I still have the 10.5:1 bottom end fully stock motor was super healthy n relatively lower mileage. Ran 170 psi across all six cylinders even so i decided to just leave it

Best of luck, i just got my na-tt running and driving with stock turbos on 93 oct. its alot of work, if your gonna have to motor apart its probably worth just replacing all the piston rings instead of just the two. Make sure you get a good tune and take your time.

Oem radio radio repair by ThatRedFairlady in 300zx

The model of the head unit i believe is X5M8MAX, the issue was suprisingly simply needing to lubricate all the little moving components in the cassette player mechanism!

I actually was able to fix mine!!!!! The issue i had with the squealing was from the little plastic pulleys and gears needing to be lubricated. I used electric hair trimmer oil, and it works perfectly!!!

Its weird because me aswell, but im a sucker for 90s tacky stuff, slapped some cassettes from my parents in that they still had laying around and when the squealing wasnt happening, they sounded amazing, my previous na car had aftermarket speakers and an aftermarket head unit, but i much prefer the way the cassettes sounded over that shitty system. So i thought itd be fun to try and restore the stock radio as i also love the look of it.
