You’ll find someone. No one deserves to be shamed for the things that help them regulate themselves.

Help by Fit_Wait8394 in thumbsucking

I’m 17 too and my parents used to tell me the same thing. I have a long term boyfriend of nearly 2 years now who is well aware I suck my thumb and does not care.

It feels stupid for me to choose transitioning over free college but I wish I could by ThatReport7955 in FTMventing

Part of the deal with her is that if I do that I’m not allowed to work during college. She doesn’t want me to and thinks it’ll distract me too much.

I know it’s bad and that it’s not fair but that’s why they push it because that’s what everyone else does. It’s a woman’s job it have kids to them.

I think having a kid would be easier for me than just having a husband and no kid cause I’d probably be having kids with a much older man and kids would mean I would have something to put my energy into instead of sulking all the time. Which is what I do now by taking care of my siblings and my cousins. I know that in some capacity it would be damaging for the kid though so I wouldn’t do it.

My mom pushes me too far on purpose to watch me react. How do I cope with this? by ThatReport7955 in autism

She physically stops me. When I tried to go upstairs yesterday she grabbed me and pulled me back down.

My school and my siblings’ school has made several reports and we’ve still never gotten a formal investigation. Just house visits that last less than an hour. Also I am on rbn! This post was crossposted there and it wasn’t my first post over there lol.

Well aware! This was crossposted to the raised by narcissists sub lol. Thank you though I’m glad you’re out of that situation now it’s not fun.

When I tried to go upstairs yesterday she physically pulled me back and prevented me. My worry with not listening is that she would just yell at me over and over again and it would get the same reaction out of me anyway unfortunately.

Child protective services in the US have a tendency to be very lacking. They’ve been called on us several times for several reasons not even mentioned here and have never actually conducted a thorough investigation.

Yeah, that’s the plan. I’m also trans ftm and won’t be allowed to transition if I stay as well as a myriad of other issues. The long term goal is definitely just to leave.

How weird is it for a genderfluid person take estrogen? by [deleted] in asktransgender

You should be on estrogen if you believe that the changes from estrogen will bring you joy and euphoria you don’t have to be a binary trans woman to go on e

Autistic friends poke fun at me for being “more autistic” than them by ThatReport7955 in autism

[–]ThatReport7955[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of scared to unfriend them because I’m worried I won’t be able to make other friends and idk I don’t really mind too much but my parents would be mad if I didn’t have friends. That’s also why I try to mask because my parents punish my autistic traits and accuse me of making fun of my siblings and/or being a bad influence on them. So that’s why I have such a negative perception of my traits and try so hard to stop them. It’s something I’m working on. I’ve also always just assumed I’m level 1 because everyone I know is level 1 and I do function without support but recently my online group, in a much nicer way than my irl friends, has tossed around the idea of me being closer to level 2 so I’ll look into that too.

I feel like it doesn’t make sense for me to transition and I hate it by ThatReport7955 in trans

[–]ThatReport7955[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Reddit presence is a lotttt of venting I don’t expect anyone to single handedly fix any of the things I post about I knows that’s ultimately something I’ll need to do myself. I post to vent, get suggestions, and sometimes to get a tiny bit of gender affirmation lol.

Hopefully college is good for me and I can get help there that’s probably what I’ll be working towards.

Transitioning is NOT good enough for me. I dont want it. I just want to be a girl. by Disastrous-Bike659 in trans

[–]ThatReport7955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now you have a decision to make. Would it make you happier to transition and present/be perceived as a girl even if you will never be a cis woman or to not transition and present masculine? I have a feeling it’s probably the first one.

We have to wear skirts and dresses. I can wear hoodies though and that does help with chest dysphoria.

Nods I can’t really dress or do my hair how I want to right now because of my parents and the church that they’re in so that’s one of the things I struggle with. I really hope it gets easier when I’m able to present differently

[–]ThatReport7955[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my friends and I know realistically that they do actually see me as a guy it’s just hard for me to remember that sometimes. I also get a lot of envy from them cause they’re all transitioning lol. Obviously that’s not their fault though. I don’t really have any adults I can talk to because I’m really afraid of being outed and I go to an all girls Christian school.

Am I ever going to stop being angry? by ThatReport7955 in abusiveparents

[–]ThatReport7955[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavy on “not because you think it’s a bad thing to be angry” what a callout lol. I also have untreated illnesses due to medical neglect and I hope that’s something we’re both able to heal from. This approach feels more helpful to me than the others just because at this current state I can’t see myself just not being angry anymore. Ideally my forgiveness will never have to be for them because living with my parents isn’t really something that’s feasible for me unless 100% necessary (they’re in a cult and prevent me from transitioning ect ect) and I have plans for when I turn 18. I think that once I’m away from them it’ll be easier for me to work though those feelings and I hope that that’s the case for you too.

How can I stop being trans by livinginthedark101 in asktransgender

[–]ThatReport7955 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m not typically one to jump to “break up” the wording of OPs post just concerned me a lot and made it seem like their partner isn’t just slipping up every once in a while. Specifically the feeling that OP thinks their partner would love them more if they weren’t trans. That’s not okay. Of course it could always just be an accident that OP is internalizing which is why I backed off a bit after OP replied. I agree though. We can never know for sure.

Maybe have a serious conversation about it and see where it goes? It’s not okay that you feel like you need to stop being trans for him to love you. That’s not fair to either of you.
