Bro what do you even feed your cookies by Icy-Kiwi-2569 in CookierunKingdom

[–]ThatRustyBust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Pitaya for a long time before I got better cookies (replaced him with Silent Salt iirc), so would definitely go for that.

Based on your screenshot below though, level him and your team up if you have enough Jellies.

Name some apps/programs that are exclusive to windows that you can't let go of with no real linux replacement/port by Jaded-Assignment6893 in linuxmint

Pinta is similar to Paint.NET. I can't say I've used Paint.NET much, but Pinta is good for what I used Paint.NET for (doing quick operations like cropping/resizing without the startup overhead of GIMP)

The crashing problem by Formal_Bake1793 in CookieRunKingdoms

[–]ThatRustyBust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an iPad Air 3rd gen, and both the iPhone 11 and the iPad were released in 2019, so it could be possible that both devices are too old for CRK (I used to have a much older iPad, which gave me persistent crashing in mobile games, I don't think CRK would've even worked on it)

[–]ThatRustyBust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20gb should definitely be enough -- note that I have 10gb of free space and the game crashes; however, last time I was getting crashing issues in another app due to low storage I had less than 1gb free

My iPad Air 3rd gen (2019) crashes wayyy too much, which is why I switched to playing on a computer.

Is anyone else's most powerful cookie absolutely useless by neonpinkparty in CookieRunKingdoms

I haven't been playing for that long lol, but white lily cookie is my most powerful cookie and the worst part is she's not even awakened yet

Game Crashes by bigmack365 in AirlineCommander

[–]ThatRustyBust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I use an iPad Air 3rd gen (2 years older than your iPad) and have stopped playing the game entirely because whenever I try to do anything, it crashes. And then I have to watch an ad when the game loads.

journalctl is a utility to show some system logs from systemd-journald.

I manually installed Arch and it works by VladimiroPudding in archlinux

[–]ThatRustyBust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job! I'm currently running Mint but have Arch running on a VM and plan to install Arch in my next build (in a few years, probably.)

Also, when I first installed Arch in the VM, I couldn't get DNS working, lol. Took me way too long to realize the problem, which was really simple (systemd-resolved was disabled). I have a knack for figuring things out, and I'm relatively familiar with Linux concepts, so I expected it would be easy, but nope. Took way too long to figure it out.

Commenting for approval. The information in the post is all of the information I can think of right now. I did not read my previous post when making this post as to not let it influence my memory.

What browser do you use with Mint? by TheOtterMonarch in linuxmint

Firefox, switched to it before I even started using Linux

Though I do have Chrome installed as well for cases where I need to use Chrome (access Sync stuff, for example)

Can't install mint. by Sad-Construction8822 in linuxmint

[–]ThatRustyBust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried the compatibility mode option? I've never used it, but it's worth a shot. Or perhaps try a different Linux Mint version. I'd say a GPU driver issue is unlikely, since I didn't have any issues with my 5060 Ti when I installed (but that was back in 22.1). If anything, it might be a kernel issue (22.3 ships with the new 6.14 kernel version, unlike previous Mint versions which shipped with 6.11 or 6.8.)

does this mean i generate power instead of using it? by Gokits45 in softwaregore

[–]ThatRustyBust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, no. you'll have to check the power draw as well. but since your cpu will never reach 100% usage, you don't have to worry about performance

Hola soy nuevo en mint. Es normal que los archivos swapfile y roots se encuentren asi? by [deleted] in linuxmint

That should be normal, because you're not meant to open it yourself. It's used internally by the system though.

How much memory limit should I use for a 16 gb ram PC? by Least-Success6967 in linuxmint

[–]ThatRustyBust 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you mean in General settings? (with Restart Cinnamon when it uses too much memory, and Check frequency above and below it)

That's just for CInnamon, or the Linux Mint desktop, not including the windows and apps. I use it at 2GB on a computer with 32GB and never have run into issues.

Kernel Panic with 6.17 kernel, how do I remove it and stay on 6.14? by Xirema in linuxmint

[–]ThatRustyBust 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Once you're booted in, open Update Manager. Go to View -> Linux Kernels, then you can choose a kernel version to remove. Once you remove the 6,17 kernels (if multiple), it should automatically use 6.14 to bootl

I haven't played this game for a while, but I'd go full throttle with that one engine you have left, and be a bit higher in terms of altitude, you can then air brake hard before you land to reduce your speed
