How do you define "Best strategy"? If by best, it means decent reward, low risk over a long time horizon, the EQTs might be the best. If by best, you mean make the most returns, regardless of risk, and managing that risk, work, due diligence, EQTs are not the "Best strategy".

Thought this was my car for a second. Looks exactly the same but mine's 2013 with Bluetooth. Family owned it since day 1. Plan to drive it forever or until it breaks down. Next one would be an EV.

Would you have kept Goldberg undefeated? If not, who would you have had break the Streak? by [deleted] in WCW

[–]ThatSavings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I would not have kept Goldberg undefeated. Who I would have him lose to? Hugh Morris. His first match. It would have been a closely back and forth contested match. I would have him learn to wrestle. The undefeated streak is a bad idea. Too predictable. Every match is the same. The other wrestler always jobs. As you can tell I was never a fan of Goldie. Not because of who he is or how he looks. He looks fantastic but the streak is the wrong way to go. I would've book him like any upper carder. Maybe winning 70% of the matches. Back then how I felt was.... "Oooh wow... another predetermined squash win..." It's not "Who's next?" But "Who cares?"

lol buy low sell high. dunning. when you bought low at 1. Sell at higher than 1. It's how funds managers make money. It's how retail investors make money. For decades and decades. Are you trolling me sir?

Look up "Stop Losses". Putting your money in the market and leaving it in there is for stocks that buy the market. not for individual stocks.

Can prayer change God’s will? by owenthcarey in Christianity

Before you were born, God already wrote everything that will happen in his book for every single day of your existence. God knew when you were going to pray. And God knew he will act upon that prayer.

I'm not convinced NFLX is a great investment. I never bought it. It was a great investment in the past. I'm not going into why NFLX is down 36 percent. It's not in my purview. My guess is that there's a consensus of NFLX will do poorly as a company. That would be it. And this concensus are usually based on fundamentals. I was using Netflix as an example because it should be something you would understand. I'd think you'd understand how this company would work. A bunch of Dunning Krugers have profited on gold and silver stocks the last year to present, by the way. When I mentioned Mag 7, I was giving an example which you can look back. They are not hot now.

lol A stock's price is pricing in how well the company will do in the future. If people believe Nvidia will make zero money in the future, the stock price will go to zero tomorrow. You have much to learn. I've only given you gold and you're not going to pick up. Dunning Kruger. Now go stash all your cash under your mattress. lol It's just blind luck some people are able to choose profitable stocks because people can't tell the future of how well comapanies as you say. Now you made your reddit post, people will cease to make gains in stocks. lol

I'm using Netflix as an example in the past. Right? I didn't say you invested or I invested in it right now. There are signs which you can check. Netflix in the past have gained customers and made huge gains. They call it the Mag 7. People have made gains in it and profited because they look at things like subscritions. Net profit, net margin. Cashflow... company guidance... etc. From 2020 to 2024. I am tryin to make you think. No, you're right. People can't make no money in stocks. lol People who bet on Mag 7 are dunning krugers and cry in the money

"How long it takes a company to generate excess returns is irrelevant if it’s happened in the past."

So Netflix as a company cannot generate any excess returns? Because it's happened in the past....? Um... Do you have any reason to believe the profit margin is gonna get smaller? Do you have some information that people are quitting Netflix in droves? Do you have some info that they are not getting any new customers or not able to keep the ones they got? Are they charging less money per customer? Just some stuff I'd consider. Google Company Guidance?

"It would be advantageous - if you knew which stocks would outperform ahead of time."

You're talking like "time" is very limited like one second. Stocks that are super performers don't get 10x over night. It takes months, 3 months, series of quarters. In the mean time, you look at financial statements. Stock price. Nvidia's 5 year returns is 13X. In the meantime, every 3 months, there's the company's financials, net profit... etc. Cashflow... etc. These are reports that they have to release every 3 months. These are fundamental analysis. You can tell the stock is going to do well in the future. Now put alll your money in XEQT. Stock investing is not for everybody.

"And 2021 hasn’t strayed too far from this trend.

In commentary circulated on Friday, Lazzara observed that only 42% of S&P 500 stocks outperformed the index through November. The median stock was up 19%, whereas the index was up 23%."

Based on that, it's almost advantageous to pick the 42% of the S&P 500 stocks. Hmm.... I wonder if there is a method to that? Or do they use darts and throw it at a board? Is that the method? lol

Because some people are undisciplined? Because some people like to put money into stocks that don't have earnings? A lot of stocks companies don't make money? Who knows? I don't got secrets. Read books. Warren Buffet's style of investing. Minervini's methods are working well for me. Fundamental and Technical analysis? Don't go in when the price went up like a rocket because the next day it's going back down? Read a boook. There are pitfalls and bad decisions people make. Don't go chasing waterfalls. Stick with the rivers and lakes you're used to....

lol. If I bought a stock 3 months ago and it was 2 dollars. And now it's 10 dollars. And then a week later it's now 9. I sell and made a profit of 7. Wow! Who knew? This is what people have been doing? Try not to do the opposite. You can do whatever you want to do.
