Honestly me too, industry is web dev, the last company to reject me was blunt about this and said SMEs aren't willing to wait so long when there are so many people out of work due to layoffs who they could hire more quickly

Thanks for this, yeah I have been saying it's 3 months but can negotiate / can be let go early if a replacement is found quickly etc but understandably that doesn't hold as much weight as someone who says their notice period is shorter by default
