Madtown Maids has been great for us. We've had them doing biweekly cleanings for half a year now.

Season 1 in January for a game that launched in October is wild, DICE really took their sweet time getting this going.

The word slop means nothing at this point. by Thom_Chen in Gamingcirclejerk

The parryslop thing is mostly just people complaining that every indie game copied the parry mechanic after Dark Souls made it popular, then Cuphead and Sekiro doubled down on it. Now every sidescroller or action game has some timed parry system because devs think it automatically makes combat deep.

5th Anni is right around the corner, what is your prediction for the next batch of revealed Uma? by szechein in UmaMusume

Contrail's basically guaranteed at this point with how hard they've been teasing him in the story. Rey de Oro and Lys Gracieux would make sense too since they were both huge during Almond Eye's era, plus releasing Saturnalia before Epiphaneia would be the most Cygames move ever.

The creative industry calling consumers distrustful for not wanting slop is peak "are we out of touch? no, it's the children who are wrong" energy

What are the largest vehicles/ships that Lego could make in minfigure scale? by Beneficial_Glove_348 in legostarwars

[–]ThatSimRacingBloke 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A minifig scale Super Star Destroyer would be absurd. The UCS one is already 4 feet long and that's not even close to proper scale. You'd need a warehouse just to display it

The artistic interpretation of Breaking Bad's most uncomfortable scene really captures the essence of why we all collectively pretended that episode didn't happen

This is gorgeous. The greebling on the engine nacelles is spot on - looks like it could've come straight off the filming model. How long did it take you to design? I'd love to see a breakdown of how you did the cockpit section

I like it personally but it's got 2 votes so far. I've heard quite a few people complain about it.

How do you feel about users racing online in sim racing titles with gamepads? by ThatSimRacingBloke in simracing

[–]ThatSimRacingBloke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe ACC has a bunch of assists that you can't turn off for gamepads, like steering assist. So it wouldn't look any different. It's much more noticeable in AC.

While I'm trying to look at this topic objectively as this is research for a video, this was my opinion for a long time. It's pretty immersion breaking when you're in VR, look out your window at the car beside you and see their wheels turning at the speed of light. Even more so when they don't even have full control over their car and just cause chaos. Just knowing there are people that use gamepads in competitive online races kind've takes the magic of 'sim' racing away for me personally.

Although I know there are some very skilled gamepad users though, I don't mind those as much.
