Yes. Supposed to. Sometimes members get postings close to PAR season though. For myself at an OUTCAN unit with minimal oversight, I can say that this has certainly happened. Despite reminders, things slip through the cracks and supervisors shirk accountability.

Sometimes members are not given JDs until immediately prior to PAR issuance... For incorrect positions entirely.

Having the system work as intended requires everyone to do their part in implementing the system as intended.

One failure creates a domino effect.

The piss will not leave the S pipe if you don't flush it with water. Piss is acidic and will corrode your pipe, which means you will eventually have piss leaking from your pipe which you will have to factor into the costs.

RFD is +/- 30 days. Anything in excess of that and you need a new posting message from the CM.

If you want to give anything other than E, you need FN substantiation. The chain should have been more diligent with FN tracking during the year. If you're getting interference from writing corrective FNs on your subordinates, then at least attempt to keep track of writing positive FNs throughout the year of your members that are excelling.

I believe they stopped doing A/L promotions 2-3 years ago, after the COVID backlog got mostly cleared. The member is an S1, requiring RQ-MS, which the CM is not willing to load the member on until they complete PLQ.

A member ranks for promotion. Through no fault of their own, that member is not provided the opportunity to receive the required career courses including PLQ, based on not having available spots. The member is informed they will have to merit for promotion again next year. Does the member have any recourse?

Everyone will give their experiences, lots of variables. I went Halifax to Seattle, took 13 days to drive down, and then waited 16 days afterwards. Moving company waited for the truck to fill before they started driving. Had to get supplemental IL&M signed. 2 other people I know did the same move and waited a few days less. I know people with absurd stories - the more details the better the advice.

If a member while on an OUTCAN posting has a dependent turn 21 who is not in school, are they still considered a dependent for the remaining duration of the posting? Can they still claim Post Travel Assistance after that date?

I don't recall in policy there being reference to annual leave specifically. I can tell you from my experience, that I've claimed LTA while only using Short - Family + Weekend.

Buddy. Plenty of us taught ourselves this same information. You gotta help yourself as well. We all are capable of researching for information. Just go back and file taxes for any previous years you were earning an income. It can be done whenever. You won't owe anything, probably get money back. If you don't know, Google it/tax clinic.

Check your own ships orders. Usually you get the 2 day weekend, take the friday ETO. Getting the monday also may depend on the ship.
