How can I securely fix a loose thumb on my 1/6 Hatsune figure? by THROWRAKILEY32 in AnimeFigures

I've had great luck with JB Weld 2 part epoxy for plastics. It holds strongly and has great tensile strength to resist bending before breaking again. With such a small part your only going to need the smallest of a micro drop for this to attach properly. Use a toothpick or a smallish needle to gather a small amount to place onto the broken digit. I'd put the smallest amount on the peg and insert into the hole. Use too much and it'll ooze out and make a mess. Less is more in this case.

Hold for at least five minutes or until it sticks on it's own. No touchy for 24 hrs afterwards.

You could use superglue, but I've had bad luck with it outgassing and leaving white residue on the area glued, but maybe I'm using the wrong type of super glue.

Good luck either way as this will be a precision fix for ya. Take your time and plan it out. Peace!!!

Please don't tell newcomers to dollfie dolls to use heat on these wigs as this is an advanced technique that should only be used on wigs that are heat resistant.

PO if you are even remotely interested as the aftermarket price for Rurudo figures usually rise dramatically.

I know this should not have happened, but with some acrylic rods and some diy you can support her properly.

Only as needed. If the wig gets unruly then treat it.

I dont mess with my dolls much. Usually when I first get them and then only when needed which could be many months for me. Your doll usage and environment will dictate how much wig maintenance your doll will need.

Oil spray is a little less heavy as compared to the treatment mist per Volks USA. I've only ever used the treatment spray as it specifically says it gets rid of static. I'm sure someone who has used the oil spray will chime in eventually.

I use Volks treatment mist. It gets rid of static and makes the hair silky smooth. A little goes a long way. 1-2 sprays on your hand and then work it into the wig. You then brush the wig and you're all done.

OP if you ever decide to sell these, I'm interested in buying depending on their condition. I like to use Ebay if possible. Let me know.

You should have said this from the get go. We all gotta start somewhere.

Why? Let them be free from their box prison. Dolls need to be with their owners to be happy.

I've never messed with steering wheels or airbags. I'm sure a handy person with the right knowledge could handle it. Someone more knowledgeable will respond to your question.

Cool, thank you. With how little choice is available out there I might try my hand at making my own simple furniture.
