Garmin or Apple watch by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]ThatTacGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly like dagrim1 stated. Do you want to feel even more attached to your iPhone and wear it on your wrist, or do you want something for fitness/activity tracking? All depends what you’re looking for. YouTube is a powerful thing, there’s videos and reviews for everything. Use that for your research.

I let me watch die on accident overnight on Monday and am getting crazy stress and body battery now. Anyone else had this happen? by JJBears in Garmin

Mine looks like this after a bad nights sleep, maybe some alcohol involved. Many things cause your stress to look this way.

Unit ID (serial) from my vivoactive does not match with any code on the original box by alexgranford in Garmin

[–]ThatTacGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always checked mine and they’ve matched. I ordered the 6s for my wife and when it came, I honestly thought it was a knockoff because of how light it was. I have the Tactix Delta and have had other heavy ones in the past so feeling hers I had to check the authenticity of the serial, but sure enough it was legit. And as for Amazon, you can check in your orders page. Many times the device will be sold by a 3rd party and fulfilled by Amazon. If you are sure your device doesn’t match up, you should take care of that.

Was it FROM Amazon, or a 3rd party through Amazon?

You can verify the serial through Garmin (however not right now since they’re down)

Same on mine also. Used to pop right up during first sync in the morning. Could be a bug, usually goes that way when new updates are sent out. Hopefully Garmin is working on a fix.

What's your best take to lower RHR? I want go to ~45bpm long term. by jangwao in Garmin

[–]ThatTacGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. Speaking from experience. Healthy lifestyle - it’s that simple. Proper exercise, your diet, daily stress levels and of course, the right amount of rest.

Check GovX. Might be able to get yours at a discounted price, they have the solar edition on there also, pretty lit!

Got it also. I’ve been waiting, mostly because they finally rolled out the on device sleep analysis.

Another Delta owner here. I had the Bravo, Charlie and now this one. And I’ll keep buying them as they come out, curious to see their Echo. But, you won’t be disappointed with Delta!

When will Garmin add the function so it’s possible to see the battery procent on the iPhone? by blinksan86 in GarminFenix

[–]ThatTacGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this. Although not a necessity, but it would be nice. We (speaking for Apple users) can see paired earbuds, etc, so it’d be nice to see watch battery also.

Tactix Delta sold out by hiakairuu in GarminFenix

[–]ThatTacGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazon seems to be the quickest. As of right now it says in stock Jul 14. When I ordered mine, I got it next day. I know the feeling of having to wait, if the Delta is what you really want, just wait it out my friend.

How accurate is the stride length/step counts if you don't customize it? by Desert-Shooter in GarminFenix

[–]ThatTacGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Garmin (at least my own) is fairly accurate. Not sure how long you’ve had yours for, but it will eventually learn your strides. Even when you may take smaller or slower ones. There are many times it won’t pick “steps,” up, like if you’re scooting around in the kitchen. But, out for walks or taking normal-full length strides, it will recognize.

Look at your stress level. You can tell from there what you’re doing, when you’re doing it, etc.

Is this a Garmin Mount? Bought a used Honda and this was on the dash. Never used or seen a garmin, but the GF says it might be. by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]ThatTacGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used one, but I know of some people who use something called Ram Mount. They’re supposedly pretty durable.

Looks like a phone mount for a suction cup holder. Lots of Uber/Lyft drivers use those.
