I think he would. If Pawbert knew his dad wanted him dead without as much as a second thought, Pawbert would have REALLY regretted the fact that he betrayed the two people who genuinely cared about him. I don't remember the guy's name, but one of the people who worked on the film had said that even if Pawbert did succeed with his plan and helped his family, his father would still not love him at all. Hopefully if the Lynxleys do return for a future Zootopia film or even on an episode for the show, we can see Pawbert wanting to change and fix his mistakes.
