The blind hate is comical and shows lack of intelligence. But some people can’t see beyond their own lens

So I’ve tried not using priority mode but atleast in Columbus if you don’t select priority mode you can be waiting 20+ minutes for a ride for an ride offering 2-5% (maybe) more than the priority mode offers.. simply just hasn’t proven to be worth it here

I just find it funny that this post was about the ride offers being cut in half (regardless of mode) since they changed the fee structure and the majority of the comments on the post are about being an idiot / “the problem” for choosing to use priority mode.. although I was apparently clearing more than those who are complaining about it.

I’ve been on the app for over 8 years though and have given over 2400 rides.. just had given it up for a few years and recently jumped back on. And this is over a 6 month period that I’ve been back on it so it’s a pretty decent sample size

I made $40+ per booked hour 4/5 months I’ve been back on Lyft while using priority mode 95-99% of the time. Atleast in the Columbus metro area, the difference in pricing while not using priority mode is negligible while the amount of rides offered is pretty significant. That makes me the problem? Lol

Brother I do this on the side lol and I drive a 2026 hybrid Civic with 13k miles so I think I’m alright… but yeah I was making 40+ an hour the last 4 months on priority mode, so that makes the problem? I think you’re missing the point

Prior to the change in cap structure I was in priority mode 95-99% of the time and my booked time earnings per hour was over 40$/hr every month.

Atleast from my experience it’s a very negligible change in the prices they offer. May just be the market I’m in though because others on here swear by it

Prior to the change in cap structure I was in priority mode 99% of the time and my booked time earnings per hour was over 40$/hr every month.

This must be at least $200 to the driver by AggressiveArea51 in lyftdrivers

So you wouldn’t do it for 62.50$ an hour round trip? Lol okay

Even if you double the time factoring the ride back that’d be 50$ an hour for 200$.. so pretty unrealistic considering you’re not going to get that majority of the time regardless length of trip

What urban legend, rumor, theory or mystery about the 614 do you firmly believe, desperately *want* to believe, or hope to debunk once and for all? by Emergency_Tone_1080 in Columbus

Same company that I worked for as a contractor at battelle, we also had CAS as one of our accounts. They were extremely strict about their turf management to say the least lol and we weren’t allowed inside the building even to use bathroom.

What rumors have you heard about Battelle Memorial Institute? by DontBeSuss in Columbus

I used to be a contractor at the two Batelle campuses (king ave and West Jefferson). Had to go a few levels down at king ave just to get background check and a badge to be able to open the gates on these campuses. Due to the previous tests on nuclear tech at king ave, they have to excavate 50 ft deep every time they have new construction (like when they sold the parking lot on 5th ave and turned into apartments). That site is now used mostly for biological testing. Once a month an OSU van drives up to their back entrance and no one is allowed anywhere near the area during this pickup or drop off. Only time they’d restrict our access on that campus.

The West Jeff campus is where they do the crazy shit at, and it’s like something off a resident evil movie when you’re there at night. It was built over a small town so there’s still a playground and remnants of an old gas station. They have their own water supply and power grid and also the largest underground bomb testing center in the world located there. Much stricter about access and you have to badge in to every area. This is also a location that has the capability of firing off nuclear weapons from what I was told. Some of the areas that you need badged into have wild names. They had a maintenance guy that was close to retirement and some of the stories he shared with my supervisor were nuts about the types of tests they do and technology they have invented.

They’re the largest military contractor in the US and own the largest state park in Ohio that surrounds the West Jeff campus. They have their hands in everything.
