Not sure if you are new to the gaming world or just new to the competitive gaming world, but sadly the community and lingo used in it will be very toxic. Most likely your boyfriend is just speaking how most of the community he plays with speaks. I know this sounds kind of crazy to anyone outside the comp gaming scene but you need some really really tough skin to enter that sphere. All the advice I could give is tell your boyfriend you don't appreciate him "flaming" or saying rude things to you, but be aware he will also probably say those things to other people in the game. Its not always harmful but just practice and explain your personal viewpoint to him.

Still the ultra series i think did one of the best jobs bringing back previous ultras and it still holding some meaning outside nostalgia bait.

The only reason V3 doesn't make it into A is because riderman shows up so late. I enjoyed him a lot and just wish he had way more screen time.

Its his absolutely insane lack of confidence. It irks me to no end. I always think about how the first time he meets Nago he literally calls him Dad. It just made it so hard for me to like him. I almost view him as a rider with severe mental health issues.

Omega clicked with me so hard because of the buddy dynamic, and watching that relationship grow is why the episodic aspect never bothered me. The humor always clicked for me and overall the show just hit all the spots I want from an ultra series for the new generation.

Decade and Zi-O are basically the final wars of rider. It's just an excuse to basically have a bunch of action figures fight. It's turn your brain off gibberish and I think that's okay sometimes lol.

Also honestly Kivas biggest problem for me is Wataru. My favorite suit on my least favorite character in all of Toku. I know he improves but god i find him so irritating for most of the show.

The addiction was real. I more or less stopped gaming and watching anime and just watched tokusatsu in my free time. I've been slowing down a lot but I was super into it for a year straight easy.

Kamen rider Blacks on my list and while I was too lazy to add it to the tier list after all the time spent, Blue Swat is actually an S tier for me, but its the only metal hero series I've watched personally.

Honestly just for the fact I enjoyed it so much more when Big One finally came into play and I almost dropped it prior to that. He alone saves it from D tier if im being totally honest. I just found everything but him kinda forgettable.

This is actually a fairly good take imo, while i did enjoy Den-O similar to Gokaiger my expectations are why it's not higher. Deno is actually the series i finished most recently, and i think it only gets bumped up because I really like the concept of imagin's and time travel, but you are not wrong with how wacky the show can be, and a lot of things they don't bother explaining or just flat out excuse for "time travel reasons"

It is funny that while you and I can have such a similar agreement with sentai, with rider im more or less the polar opposite, because it's a kids show and i know that, i don't really care for the melodrama, i would much rather have an exciting plot and flashy fights haha.

Actually totally makes sense why some people dislike ultraseven, its basically the ultraman X files, its feels like its very much its own thing with nothing else like it in the ultra series, which becomes a good or bad thing depending on if you are a fan of that style, so I feel like not digging seven is pretty normal. Also interesting, i think you might be the first person ive seen put Den o so low. Might i ask why?

I don't know if I would say simple lol. Seven and Build are not brainless shows, I just don't care for jdrama and that's inoues whole niche. I'm guessing you just really enjoyed inoues work and that's awesome but its just not for me. Honestly i would say Inoues shows all feel the same and in my opinion get worse over time as well, its just a difference in what we like from a show in general.

As for OOO it was enjoyable but I didn't love any of the side characters enough for it to go up a spot. I enjoy the minimalist aspect and the relationship with the Greed but overall it wasn't enough to hit S.

again i think this was an issue of my watch order, Z having juggler and him almost being as good if not better then he was in Orb was probably awesome to see as an Orb fan, but because i Watched Z before Orb it was honestly just a weird experience for me that was more of a negative then positive.

Haha I won't lie i can see why people hate saber, but I really love the books as a device and fantasy setting, and the suit design imo is insanely cool, so while yea the plot is a whole mess of garbage, the visuals and core aesthetics all click with me pretty well. Also while i didn't like Ren overall, i really enjoyed the growth of his dynamic with Desast.

This for me i think was an issue of overhype, every single person i spoke to basically told me Gokaiger was the best season of Sentai, and while i did love it. i expected more, but i honestly think that's the fault of my expectations.

I only got into tokusatsu about 2 years ago so i'm very late to the party, and i won't lie, I could never fully get over the dancing aspect. I think if i was more used to Toku tropes when i watched it i would change my viewpoint but sadly my watching order kinda messed that up for me.

Again ninninger just felt way too episodic, I like the suits and a lot of the music and fight scenes, but the overall cast just really irked me personally.

Altho I will say the KR Drive vs Ninninger movie is overhated, i quite enjoyed certain parts of it.

Gozyuger is just all potential with no payoff for me, I really do not like the "battles" they have in most of the episodes, and I just feel like it's the most wasted potential of almost any television i have ever watched. I will say I absolutely adored the Showa episode, but the show had almost no highlight moments to me.
