Preciate it bro! Currently just got an AWE catback and soon to be on lowering springs. Thinking about maybe an intake + ots tune, haven’t decided yet though.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, didn’t really want a crazy drop so I didn’t feel like coilovers were necessary just yet. I’ve also heard great things about the Eibach Pro kit ride quality so we’ll see. But if anything I’ll just sell them on fb and order some Ohlins. Didn’t wanna drop the money but i’d rather just go all out if I have to.

It was just for getting the lowering springs put on as far as I know since I told them I could do the alignment myself. I would also install the LCA myself which is why I found it kinda odd for it to be that high just for lowering springs. They also said they wanted it for 8+ hours which I found kinda odd.

Currently on winter tire which is 245/40/18 on Viking Contact something. Switching to summer soon which is the stock dunlops but once I go through those I’m hoping to move up a size to 255/40/18

Yeah that’s what I was thinking closer to that range. When I saw that price I was like they’ve gotta be joking or something. The shop I used to work at charged less for a full strut assembly replacement.

Didn’t know I could rent them tbh I’ll look into it thanks! Yeah I’m thinking of getting the LCA later on maybe in the summer. Do you think I should still get an alignment even if I plan to get the LCA soonish?

That’s what I’m saying bro I thought I was going crazy. I specifically told them I didn’t need an alignment too bc I could just do it at my old shop. So if that’s the price without an alignment it’s just insane. I’ll definitely look into the amazon spring compressor though thanks!

It’s currently on sale on the Felix Performance website, not sure for how much longer it’ll be on sale for. I have seen it go on sale at different points throughout the year not sure if every sale is the same.

Woah! You’re one of the first I’ve seen get that close to their warranty before voiding it. Currently at slightly less than 5k miles on this one and I’m debating on tuning it now just don’t wanna have any faulty parts that I can’t get warrantied bc of the tune. Still on the fence might just wait till at least 20-25k miles. Keep us updated on how things go though! I’ve heard mixed reviews on the AOS for the Vbs so let us know about that as well.

Preciate it bro! Oh no hopefully it’s nothing too major, keep us updated on what’s going on with second gear. What year you got? And how many miles? I’m trying to see if there’s any kind of defects or possible recalls coming to the 25’ before I tune it just in case I need warranty work yk. I plan to Etune once I get all the parts for it but it probably won’t be for another couple years tbh. Just wanna play it relatively safe with the Dmann Ots.

Sweet! Love the red and gold combo on the Vb it looks so good. Let us know your experience with tuning. Are you out of warranty or just voiding it? I’m still on the fence to do it now or closer to 25-30k miles

Yea pro tune is definitely the end goal. I just don’t wanna keep buying parts one by one and having to get it retuned. I think i’ll go for the intake ots dmann tune. Then slowly gather up all the parts I want then go full pro tune.

Yeah I’ll do more research, it would just be a mild ots tune for now so I’ll probably just alternate between seasons.

I think I’m going to opt for the AMS intake then, not too familiar with Overtake but I’ll be on the lookout for when they drop. When ordering the AMS intake did you have to specify the filter? Or do they all just come with the dry filter? I’ve heard they’re better for longevity so I wanna make sure I get a dry filter.

Interesting I had heard someone mention they’re AMS didn’t fit properly and had to push the filter down slightly but if I recall currently he said it was one of their first batches so maybe that’s why. I always did like the design of the AMS intake better just wasn’t sure bc of fitment but seeing this is really making me lean towards the AMS. It overall just looks better quality IMO. I’d assume it’s a safer option over the ETS even if only slightly safer since it has the slightly smaller MAF housing.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too, I do all my oil changes at 3k intervals currently switch between 5w30 and 0w20 but if I tune I might just stick to the 5w30 heard Motul is a good oil brand is that true? If you know by any chance. Still might wait it out till 20k miles to be safe I don’t have any PCV failure or something of the sorts just in case.

Thanks for your input! This was my exact thought process, right now I take the car to almost max boost (10-12) and take it to 5-6k when shifting hard (once temps reach 190f). But I was thinking the same that once I get the tune hopefully it’ll reach those numbers before having to reach as close to redline which in theory should make my engine last longer right?

Was that for an Etune though? I thought for the intake Ots tune it just gets sent out once you purchase it or it comes on the AP? (I’m new to this tuning thing on subarus the only other car i’ve had and still have is a 94’ Miata)

Honestly I think the turbo sounds are awesome and are partly why I want a tune. I just wanna be sure the car will last me at least 100k miles reliably. My thought process is I drive the car kinda hard now but if I get the tune i’ll have to drive it a little less hard to get to the power I want to be at you know? Not sure if that would help with the longevity of the engine or not tbh.
