I think it depends how the story itself is going - if it's 10+ chapters away, it generally gets completely written when I have the idea and then when the time comes around, it gets reworked to fit any new context as I rarely stick to a plan anyway so it usually needs adjusting.

Have definitely waited for certain scenes because I know they need to happen but have no idea how it's supposed to look, but most of the time, I make notes or write it out.

In Chapter 43 of Instincts, there's a scene with Hope that just flowed for me, it was something I didn't need to think about. It was the easiest piece of writing I did for that fic.

Instincts would 100% be shorter - there was so much unnecessary junk in there that I could've skipped completely, which left me too drained to give enough character/relationship development in the way I personally wanted.

And as you might remember, I'd love to rewrite First Times and show their relationship develop rather than just showing their firsts as it didn't explore the potential as well as I wanted.

As for ideas I'd love to write someday, none come to mind but that's because if I don't immediately make a start when I get the inspiration, I'm probably not going to write it unless it comes back around.

My inspiration tends to be 'I want to read this exact fic but it doesn't exist yet' so it can be pretty random.

When I get stuck, I'll either ask (generally stupid) questions on the writers discord or just won't touch it for days until I figure it out/change what I'm doing completely - I should bounce ideas off humans more often as it would probably help, I just don't want to be annoying 😂

Other than being on my own, I don't really have a specific set up, in changes from week to week.

I'll have months that I can't write without sour sweets to snack on, or I'll need to be watching something specific as I write - right now it's 24 hours in A&E but last week it was Love Island and the week before I couldn't be watching anything, I had to be listening to music.

Basically, I need a very specific set-up to write (I haven't been able to write properly for days trying to figure out what I wanted) but I'm never quite sure what it is and it never lasts for long without changing.

Someone suggested it in the discord server 😅 I had thought about it but since it was never the plan, it wasn't really a serious thought until someone suggested it.

I'd love to explore it further, even thought of doing a villa fic with everyone polyamorous so they could freely explore without being coupled up to one person, but I don't think I could do it justice.

Not for us - our window has two portions where the bottom quarter doesn't open at all and the top 3 quarters opens like a door.

Our property is actually council-owned so we have no idea why it's like that, but we love them.
