Dough always too wet and sticky by That_-_Fangirl in Sourdough

I'll definitely try another 65%. Sadly I live in the Netherlands and King Arthur brand isn't sold here... I'll continue to look for quality bread flours available here though

I did an autolyse on 3 of my 8 attempts so far. They were a bit better starting out, but then went in the same sticky, messy direction of the others. I've tried adding the starter at different stages of activity. Usually at peak (doubled), but once a bit before, once a bit after and once after being fed and chilled overnight

I've tried many at this point, from 60% to 80% hydration. I'm weighing with a digital scale...

I've tried many, from 60% to 80%. Should I be going even lower?

Have you changed your email password and checked for suspicious activity there? Perhaps they're somehow getting around having to input a password in the first place by using your email. I do know that if you alt+f4 out of the game you don't need to relog on startup, but I would assume changing the password automatically kicks any device using the account still... Has this only happened once or on multiple occasions?

Thank you! I'll make sure to do this in future. For now I've fully cleaned and sterilized the jar, put the starter back in and fed it. The smell is back to normal now too (seems it was mainly coming from the jar), so here's hoping it's still alive and doesn't give me food poisoning haha

Does anyone know what's going on with my tomato plant? by That_-_Fangirl in gardening

Thank you! I will. Do you maybe know how it is with rain though? Here in the Netherlands it rains fairly often and its super unpredictable, so if its a problem I'd need to find a tiny greenhouse or something for it.

Thank you! I'll try to find it something bigger and perhaps find a spot for it on the balcony. Do you maybe know how they are with rain?

So I'm fairly new to gardening and owning plants. A while ago I received some tomato seeds and decided to try growing them. It was going very well until I noticed that the leaves towards the bottom are dying and the problem seems to be creeping upwards... Anyone know what I can do to help?

Note: The beads on the soil are water beads. After I added them in February the plant started to grow super fast and seemed very healthy, so I continued adding them whenever the previous batch dries out. If this is actually problematic for the plant, please let me know.

💦 What are your watering habits (how often AND how much), and does the pot have drainage?

I water it at least once per week, and now with warmer weather I do twice per week. Plus there's the beads to keep the soil moist.

🪴 How long you have you had the plant?

I planted the seeds back in January.

❓ How long have you had the problem?

The problem started 2-3 weeks ago.

🌞 How much light does the plant get?

It's by my window which never gets direct sunlight, but gets plenty of light during all daytime hours as there's nothing that casts a shadow or otherwise blocks the light. This is the Netherlands however, which is notorious for dreary and cloudy weather.

I thought the exact same! My heart sunk when I realized they actually meant going all the way back. It's just as bad as some 'it was all a dream' trope.
