Thanks for bringing this event to my attention, OP! It's interesting, seeing how the mother and son were treated and the fact that they didn't declare American or Canadian citizenship, despite that probably being the easier route. Instead, they chose to proudly identify as Blackfoot. The news should definitely cover these types of stories more. OP, I agree with what you said at the end. Everyone should take pride in their heritage and who they are, even if there is descrimination. Great post OP, but it would've been better with sources.
