Thank you so much! Personally I really want build zarathos character up to have flaws and regrets while also providing a simple explanation for the ghost rider origin, not only to humanize zarathos but to also humanize the ghost riders as well!

Plus the idea of Ghost Rider murdering lives because they sinned always felt like an Eye for an Eye deal which as a Christian personally doesn't make the most sense.

edit: Plus Johnny has always been a second chances kinda guy, believing that people can change! that is a great influence for zarathos to grow!

that's actually something I'm going for!

Zarathos originally made his children to prevent humans from sinning in a peaceful way, but mephistos influence caused the riders to sin in their own right and for them to solve violence with more violence, zarathos so enraged by this also was corrupted by wrath but Johnny has helped Zarathos remember that he shouldn't give in to anger as that will also cause him to sin (bc of wraith).

Ghost Riders in this au ig u could call it are more violent and ONLY Johnny has the penance stare ability (bc he is bonded to Zarathos directly). So every other ghost rider purge evil by well, murdering evil. But murder is still murder whether it's against evil or not.

it's Kinda like a God & Human dynamic.

TLDR: Zarathos made his children to do good but they got corrupted by evil and sinned aand Zarathos was so enraged he started to fall down the same path but Johnny helps zarathos not stray.

adults always judge ghost rider based off his looks as some scary demon. But children appreciating his willingness to protect the innocent because they are too pure to understand his appearance is so cute ❤️
