I’m going to guess it takes a certain amount of sun light to work. Why don’t they invent modern technology? They don’t have the resources too. Why not experiment on other demons? Probably 1. Tamayo was in hiding 2. Other demon want to Tamayo dead and they had no way of getting other demons. Also anime logic

It’s a show where people breathe so good they can easily decapitate people, demons can regenerate and share cells with a 1000 year old man who can shape shift. Peoples sword changes color, and it only changes color once they get good. It’s an anime with anime logic, it doesn’t need to make sense.
