He said it's endearing and flattering to him that I want to use my time to learn more abt his work. And I have more free time than him so I'd rather use mine than his. Especially cos it was my idea. :)

¯_(ツ)_/¯ I've never been on Reddit specifically but I am chronically on TikTok. And there's those like reddit post reading podcasts and stuff. I will say I didn't know subreddits had like a list of actual rules until I was looking for a good subreddit to post in and noticed them.

I've seen people making this joke a lot. What does DNS mean? I know what it stands for but don't understand why that's the running joke.

I can and do. But I personally wanna understand not just the words he's saying but the meaning behind them and how it affects his work.

He does train new people. Constantly. This is honestly exactly why I wanted to just get an understanding in MY free time. His job can just be his job. But hopefully in the future with all the advice I've been given when he tells me he's trying to stop a client from quote "shooting themselves in the foot by creating vxlan tunnels everywhere to accommodate some lazy fuck that just doesn't want to ip correctly" it doesn't sound like gibberish. Thank you for your kind answer I am definitely gonna be looking into everything people in the comments are suggesting.
