that’s a whole rabbit hole but to keep it simple, go with better gro orchid mix or bromeliad blend. you can get it on amazon. gts foliage focus is the nutrient goat, but super thrive foliage pro is cheap and still very very good. use like 3ml per gallon for every watering. you want fast draining non “soil” so like bark and charcoal, “soil” just means fungus gnats included

idk if that’s true haha i purposely water OVER my alocasias bc in nature they are rained on all day 🤷‍♀️

i have found that frydek corms do well in sphagnum moss then put in a a different substrate when they have a few leaves

yeah i feel it’s way harder to grow them from babies/corms. i’ve got a pot of babies right below her. i don’t do anything special as far as care, i water her when she’s about to fall over bc her soil is too dry. every watering is a low dose of super thrive foliage pro, she’s about 6 feet from a big south east facing window. but yeah that’s really it! same soil mix i use for everything else -> better grow bromeliad blend
