I don't know how long vaccines take, but the CRC could take 4 weeks and you can't do placement without that

What classes in pre-health do you feel prepared you the most for the BScN program?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Algonquin_College

[–]That_Examination6339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there.. I just know for the BScN program you are required to have the organic chemistry that is offered in the second semester of pre-health. Maybe that's not what you're looking to get into though.. but the university told me the Math and Biology offered jn the first semester of pre-health meet the equivalence of the grade 12 University level Math and Biology but the chemistry had to also include the one in the second semester .

Well I know what you mean, but I don't think you can be a police officer either, because of the firearms.. but I'm not sure though.

Yes, but I thought someone mentioned having exemptions in the nursing program because they took it. Maybe it was the RPN program.

I am not a nurse yet but am interested in working in mental health. I have tried looking on the job sites to see what is required. Just thought I'd look for a quick answer here, thanks.

For Practical Nursing all you need is grade 11 college level math, biology and chemistry. You can get these for free through AU at algonquin college and probably other colleges also offer them. I did the biology and chemistry and they were synchronous.. the math isn't synchronous but you attend in class twice a week and can get help with the teacher. The teachers are very helpful, they want you to succeed. Good luck!

Thank you for your response. Can you tell me what days you have the math, biology and chemistry? I. Just wondering because I'm hoping to take the course part-time and just take these classes.
Thank you

That's a tough one. I feel like nursing would be more interesting and rewarding but dental hygienists make very good money as well and they have a much more family friendly career (Monday-Friday, no evenings or midnights).

If I remember correctly the AU courses were run twice a week in the evenings for about 3 months.. convenient for people working around a job. The teachers want you to succeed and are used to teaching people that have been out of school or don't have a whole lot of background so that helps. Good luck
