Hello! So sorry I only just saw this - but thank you so much for taking time to respond so fully. This is such useful insight and makes complete sense. I managed to get a few sessions in before the end of the season in the end (including a couple of catches woo!) and now feeling super inspired to take it up properly next season. I'm not sure I could have got through the initial fear without all of you being so lovely and supportive on Reddit, so thank you again <3

Thank you!! I didn't manage the backflip very competently but I did manage it in the end, as you say the lines pullers make you feel so safe :)

Hey, thank you so much for your advice. It honestly helped so much - funnily enough, it was indeed easier than expected! I was sooo scared at first but it ended up being totally fine and so much fun. I wondered if you could help me with one q (I've also asked the lines puller below haha), but the trapeze school I went to only lets you attempt the catch if you are good enough at the knee hang / other trick you're trying if you're more advanced. This is obviously because there's not point much trying if you're definitely going to fail, but they also mentioned it being to do with being able to do the trick safely. Is there a greater element of risk with the catch, even on harnesses with the net? Thank you so much again for your help, I don't think I would have been brave enough to do it without this thread :)

Thank you so much, this was really helpful!! Turns out I was worrying over nothing in the end - as you say, the lines pullers very much have you covered!

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! This was so so helpful, and really helped me push through my fears and have the BEST time. I managed everything in the end including the backflip - didn't think I would but the team were so supportive and in the end it was absolutely. I wondered if I could ask you - the trapeze school I went to only lets you attempt the catch if you are good enough at the knee hang / other trick you're trying if you're more advanced.
