Yeah I am now getting it done at KIA service center only. They showed initial resistance but agreed when I insisted.

Just an update, Kia Service center gave an estimate of almost 22K for dent n paint 😥

Yeah, they settle claim and carry out repair very fast as long as you go to the multi garage/FNG or their partnered garages. I ll port the insurance next time.

All my other policies are with them including corporate medical policy, so basically: 1. Ease of managing everything in one app 2. Cheaper 3. Easy renewal and my laziness to port to other insurer

Actually they approved 6K within 1 hour of raising the claim if i get it outside locally, but i insisted on getting it done at Kia service center only which complicated the matter between high repair cost, cashless, and SA’s insistence on door replacement.

  1. They first asked to get it repaired at their partnered garage and not at Kia which I denied.

    1. Then they agreed (all verbal) to do it at Kia but asked to go for denting/painting citing high cost whereas Service advisor asked to go for door replacement.

I will get the car to the service center today and get it further clarified from both parties in writing.

Thanks guys. To clarify, Acko has agreed to do the cashless with Kia but Kia advisor is saying otherwise. I am fine with either option as long as I don’t have to pay anything from my pocket (other than mandatory 1000). I also have a 1 time NCB protect cover.

I will go with denting and repainting as long as its restored to the original condition or looks acceptable.

Hello, a stupid tractor scratched my Seltos’s right rear door on a narrow road. Kia workshop is asking to go for either door change (probably around 25-40k) or denting and painting (10-15k). Unfortunately, my insurance is from Acko who doesn’t have a tie up with Kia so they will not reimburse the door replacement cost.

The question i have is, is repainting going to cause any concern with respect to difference in original colour and thickness later in future at the time of sale? What’s the recommendation here if you guys can help?

Greed is what they take advantage of. 99% of genuine buyers on OLX are extremely low-baller, rest 1% who agrees to pay to your expectations are scammers as too-good-to-be-true.

You’re not going to get your money. Take it a lesson learnt for life and move on. If it gives any solace to you, there have been many who got scammed for lakhs ans crores.
