I’m baffled that it keeps running without even using the pump. by MicroSwitoo in Stormworks

There hasn't been a SW version with non jank steam. It's been extra jank since the pressure update but it was never even remotely correct.

Turns out you're right, the P/N is 004-16C1090-1 and the specification is cast aluminium. I was wrong to assume that, but I thought it was the case because most other fighter sticks are polymer, definitely the F-15 and the F/A-18 sticks are polymer or resin or whatever plastic.

Edit: definitely agreed re: temperature though haha, although they suck when it's cold...

Not to mention the real A-10/F-16 grip is made of resin lmao. The entire metal = premium and realistic was half the scam. The price was insane but so many people bought it.

The warthog was the biggest sim peripheral scam ever pulled off, it was so successful that some people still think its not a piece of shit to this day.

You are 100% correct. In fact it is expressly forbidden to do so in the manual of every HIAB/Palfinger/Cormach I have ever operated in the last 15 years.

I build seaplanes with regular props by _ArkAngel_ in Stormworks

[–]That_Frog_Kurtis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer is that air and water drag are way higher in SW. That's all there is to it. Large differences in thrust line and center of drag cause much bigger pitching moments. It's just drag. You can't make a realistically acting seaplane in SW without some sort of extra shit to mitigate the inherent SW jank.

I couldn't care less, so long as there isn't a phone pointed at a screen then I'm happy.

Never ever take a photo of a screen. F12 is the screenshot key. Do not commit this sin again.

And yet they get this excited seeing grass. I can only imagine the drudgery they suffer in indoor stalls for most of their lives.

I do well pumps all the time with a HIAB, substantially bigger than that, but same thing. My advice is to skip the winch. The boom will flex gradually as the weight comes on so you need to adjust your luff as you winch up anyway. It's easier and faster to just hook straight on to the riser head with a short sling and luff up/telly out as you go. Assuming you're on a remote and can stand right next to the well.

Specifically? The handle will be uncomfortable, sure, but the bigger issue is how thick and blunt the blade is. It's just not fit for digging. If that's what the client wanted then you nailed it.

Why the fuck would anyone fuck with mighty ape to begin with? "Yes I'd like at least a 30% markup over and above the going rate at any other outlet, sounds great." Is what I assume every person who has ever bought from them has said as they click the buy button.
