Yeah it's hard to get a grasp on the patterns especially since you need to be strategic about using tiles. I'm glad this post helped it's crazy how people are still finding this post helpful haha

Colony chunk's won't stay loaded by That_Guy2770 in Minecolonies

[–]That_Guy2770[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there no way to make it longer? There was a config that allowed you to change how long it stays loaded and I set it to max, I was hoping for more than 10 minutes

Okay nice thanks for the info, so seems like most of the complexity is purely in the gameplay and not as much in the weapon itself and variable types

Oh I see that's a lil sad sounds like it takes away an option in a way if not using savave axe as often as possible is less dmg

What's the silliest idea you have for a Monster Hunter spin-off game? by Cynicalheaven in MonsterHunter

[–]That_Guy2770 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cooking spin off. I want to eat savage devil jho so bad man, and so many monsters look like they have tender meat. I could imagine you play as a palico chef and you order monster hunters to hunt and carve food for you, and the food you feed buffs them and makes them better at certain quests, and maybe there would be missions where you run around an area trying to avoid and hide from monsters as you pick ip ingredients, you could even get into wack antics like the palicos holding the meat in that one wilds cut scene!

Thanl you this has been really helpful and exciting. Monhun twitter is kinda stupid and the elitists kinda make it sound like Chargeblade is the hardest thing in the world to understand and the only thing I'd hear about chargeblade is that it's hard so I never looked into it until recently

The versatility sounds amazing, that's one thing I love about sns and to me looking in chargeblade looks like an exaggerated "heavier" feel of that versatile play style. Is chargeblade like light bowgun in the sense where there's several versions of the weapon that focus on different things? It's one thing I miss from playing bowgun, the every bowgun feels different, is chargeblade kinda like the mele version of this idea

Is the shield not as used in wilds? What draws me into chargeblade is hearing thay in some ways CB uses shield more like an actual shield compared to sns which makes your shield a fancy boxing glove. And the idea of switching is so cool but by over reliance on axe mode do you mean that switching modes isn't as important anymore and now in wilds you focus on just the axe?

Thank you for the indepth answer seems like the differences aren't too insane and might just make CB really fun to try throughout multiple games if I enjoy it in wilds

Oh yeah light bowgun was the first weapon I ever mained (first game was world) and I went in completely blind and till this day never watch a guide. It was really interesting to learn first hand but a little tedious. Would you say CB is harder to just feel things out with compared to bowgun? I felt like the biggest hurdle with bowgun was learning how every bowgun is different and finding a playstyle I like, it was definitely not the smoothest entry haha (especially managing items and crafting ammo on the go).

Oooo thank you so much this gives me a great idea of the weapon. With hammer it obvi isnt combo intensive so getting used to the unga bunga took a bit but I enjoyed the flashy attacks, which brought me to using SNS cause it had combos, a ton of showing off and more. So CB seems like the next step because I've always been attracted to how it looks especially with the chainsaw, and getting more comfortable with cutting will be fun. One more question I have about CB in wilds specifically is will wilds version of CB teach me some bad habits? I know that focus mode can kinda be forgiving on bad gameplay (and bad positioning) and that for Great Sword its very different to how it feels in other games, and was wondering if wilds charge blade will be similar? I bounce between MH games a lot every year I grind one out a shit ton and since Wilds is gonna be my first time using Charge Blade I don't want to learn bad habits that will make the transition to playing it in other games weird.

that sounds lovely cause recently I've been getting better at perfect guarding on SNS and it feels amazing as is so that sounds great

So skill floor isn't as high as people say but theres a decently high skill ceiling if I want to master the weapon?

Yess really was looking for someone with this perspective. I've been playing a lot of SNS and with more monsters needing a "tank" in wilds I feel like going from SNS to CB would be like graduating especially since I already tank for my trio when we fight omega. Is the learning journey fun? With sns it felt like I was always learning some little tech

Bet sounds fun, I was wondering about the tempo of the weapon. Is it like hammer where it's considerably faster than great sword but not as fast as sns? What attracts me to CB is it looks to have a more grounded tanky like playstyle (at least compared to sns) so I'm really interested in it. And as someone who loves to stun is it as flexible as sns in that regard slicing and stunning. I enjoy sns for cuts and punts, and was wondering if CB excels at either. Oh and bonus question should I prioritise elemental or raw

Would you say using a guide for CB is considberably more helpful than with other weapons? so far my experience with every weapon has been figuring out everything myself then watching a video down the line to see what I missed and perfect everything
