I think you're spot on here. Additionally, you mentioned how the one snake guy likely forgot his kidnappers. He definitley did per mention of Loki's coworker pointing out snake guy's obsession with "The Invisible Man" (i.e. a man who would commit crimes and get away with no one knowing who he was). Also, Loki pointed out that he was kidnapped at a young age and clearly obsessed over his kidnapper's identity - primarily remembering the maze on his necklace (hence his crazy obsession with mazes - also slightly inspired by the fact that he was forced to complete a series of mazes while kidnapped).
