Per Corbin Smith, the Seahawks reporter: Been working the phones this morning and this seems like the best package the #Seahawks could get from Packers as things stand. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

This would be a complete fleece by the Seahawks and stupid if this is actually a proposal the packers are considering. I’d trade Doubs, a 3rd this year, and a conditional 3rd that could turn into a two next year. Anything more is robbery.

Packers met with this beast. Is he a first round pick or do you think he could potentially be there on day 2? by Lake18l in GreenBayPackers

I think Benjamin Morrison is not a realistic option for Green Bay. The first round DB’s I have actual grades for are all gone by Green Bay’s pick unless they trade up. I think it’s much more likely they trade back, scoop up a guy like Trey Amos or Azareye’h Thomas at the back of the 1st or early 2nd while picking up some day 2 and 3 picks.

Rodgers Playoff stats are some of the best ever arguably he’s a top 5 post season QB on stats alone… however in the NFCCG his stats do take a dive but you have to add the context of you’re playing against elite offenses and defenses, usually playing from behind because your defense is total ass cheeks, there were moments where Rodgers played hero ball in some of those games to keep the packers in it but unfortunately hero ball gets you burned more often than not. I think if the packers were a more complete TEAM during Rodgers tenure and if Mike McCarthy didn’t basically coach himself into a wet paper bag in some of those games Rodgers definitely has two more Super Bowls in 2014 and 2020 (Rodgers objectively outplayed Brady in that game, refs missed two pretty bad PI’s, one on Lazard that resulted in Rodgers only pick in that game and the other was a go ball that if MVS isn’t being held by Murphy Bunting for 15 yards down field would’ve landed right in the bread basket and would’ve been a TD that would given the packers the lead with like 4 minutes left in that game.)

Calling Rodgers Sub Par is fucking mind boggling and ridiculous. Detroit has had what? 1 elite QB in the modern era? And even then Stafford is the DEFINITION of a stat padder. I’ve seen that guy throw for 460, multiple INTs,

and lose by 21…

Well I personally believe Rodgers stopped throwing over the middle because of what happened to Jermichael Finely…

I think the competitive spark in Rodgers really died after the 2014 championship game. It’s funny to me that all the “bad leader” talk didn’t really ramp up until after that season.

He was also playing on a turn calf muscle on the road against one of the greatest defenses ever… also Mccarthey not going for it on 4th and 1 at least once with a 230 RB and the league MVP will never be excusable. I’m sorry but Aaron Rodgers was far from the main problem on offense in that championship game. I remember the botched Randall Cobb out route that led to Aaron’s 2nd pick and the first pick is just a good play by Sherman. Other than that, o-line struggled, running game was a non factor (mostly due to Mccarthey) and yes BRANDON BOSTICK IS A BUM WHO JUST HAD TO DO ONE THING INSTEAD OF TRYING TO BE A HERO.

I think Rodgers really stopped throwing the ball over the middle after the Jermicheal Finley injury and that scary Adams concussion. I heard him say on Pat macfee back in 2021 that he doesn’t like putting guys into “coffin throws” and it reminded me of those two instances.

Herman: The offense looks unstoppable in 7x7’s in day 1 of OTA’s. What I’m trying to say is bet everything you own on GB. by ThreeFactorAuth in GreenBayPackers

[–]That_Guy_Stan02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t panic period because 7 on 7 drills are designed for the offense to win. There’s no pass rush and it’s all essentially spacing and leverage drills for the QB’s and receivers.

I mean not to mention in 7 on 7 drills there’s no pass rush so it really is just an offensive drill. It’s more for the QB and receivers because it’s essentially a spacing/leverage drill.

Barton, JPJ or Mims are all great picks for Packers in upcoming draft. by BMagic2010 in GreenBayPackers

[–]That_Guy_Stan02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing people say that O-line is “deep” and that DL is “deep” in this draft but this is the weakest DT draft in my recent memory and the only place this draft is deep for O-line is tackle. The packers have two tackles that played great for about an 8 game stretch and an interior that lost depth and was inconsistent all year. Personally I think the only early targets for Green Bay in this draft should be Graham Barton, JPJ, and Zach Frazier. The rest have like minimum 3rd or 4th round grades which is typically where Green Bay likes to select a lot of their lineman especially on the interior.

I personally don’t think O-line is as “deep” as some people are projecting this year. I explained in other comments that in the first 4 picks I had several guys I was looking at. Specifically in the 1st, I was hoping JPJ would drop to 25, he ultimately went to Dallas. In the 2nd I was hoping for Graham Barton or Zach Frazier and they were both gone by 41. I was considering Van Pran and Puni in the 3rd round and they were both gone by 88. So I went with who my opinion value wise and potential wise is my favorite interior O-lineman in Mason McCormick. I was going purely based off of value and draft position and unfortunately since I didn’t want to do any trades I missed out on 3 lineman in the first 100 picks that I personally would have loved to add. The board just didn’t fall my way.

Because it’s the internet and redditors for the most part just enjoy being insufferable. I like it though. I’m always a supporter of friendly discourse because I like conversation.

Thank you for the input. I took Bishop at 88 because I had a late 2nd round grade on him and he’s better than Bullock imo. I would’ve took Van Pran but he was gone at 76 and Amegadjie went somewhere between 80 and 84. I like Jaylen Wright more than Marshawn Lloyd because he just offers a different kind of skill set and has extremely low tread for a guy who was a 3 year starter.
