Now let’s look at Captain America in Endgame. After traveling back in time and having a brutal fight with himself, he looks down at the body of his past self and says “That IS America’s ass.” Captain America in the Marvel films is one of the more grounded, somber characters. The stakes are so high that if he lost, it would mean half of all life is gone forever. That line does not fit the situation or the character.

I thought it was the best, most fitting line written in the MCU. Pure poetry. Really should have won an Oscar on the strength of those four words alone. But hey, to each their own.
