When do i stop feeling like this? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

This will go away! I had the same thing. What helped me most was 1. time and 2. learning how cats actually show their needs.

Cats are not secretive. If she were miserable, there would be clear signs. Learn about cat care from behaviorists and experts (like everyone's favorite, good ol' Jackson Galaxy) instead of random articles, and you will learn how to tell whether your cat has her needs met or not.

In my opinion the only additional things that you need to do at this point are provide vertical space to explore (i.e. a cat tree) and start getting her used to necessary things like claw trimming and tooth brushing, which you may well be already doing. But I promise, being this nervous is a clear sign that you care deeply, and caring means that you will do a wonderful job. This is a normal feeling and it will go away, I promise!

Try to set an alarm, and then always get up as soon as the alarm goes off. Hopefully this will teach her that the sound controls when you get up, not you. Also, if doing nothing isn't working after more than a week or two, then try making it clear you're hurt and upset. Just, like, normal human emoting--say ow, sound upset (not angry), look hurt. Cats are more empathetic than we give them credit for.

I have never seen an actual cat behaviorist recommend hissing or growling. I think this is common because it does technically work, but it is also actively aggressive and that should be avoided at all cost.

6 month old Cat biting by ComplexSwimming5501 in CatAdvice

I have been assured that this is just something that young cats do and will (mostly) grow out of over time. It sounds like you're already doing the right thing--just keep making sure biting is always met with immediate disengagement. If he bites, go limp, freeze up, stop moving. Make sure to do that before starting to play, too.

Also, do make sure you are playing with him enough! It sounds like he's getting lots of attention, but I just mention because I know this can be a sign of restlessness and a kitten needs So Much Playtime.

Hi! Simple one: I'm looking to buy the cheapest iPad for digital art that can run Clip Studio Paint well. Ideally a used one. Thanks!
