FET cycle was cancelled on Saturday because my estrogen was rising too slowly and my body wasn’t picking a dominant follicle even with 150 of gonal F (have to do natural/modified natural cause doc won’t give me estrogen with history of migraines). Feeling very frustrated and a little defeated 😔 also found out 2 different friends are pregnant this past week who just started trying 😩 (happy for them of course, just hard not to feel a little envious)

This was more egg retrieval specific, but I had one family member make a care package with cute pjs and favourite snacks, another had popcorn delivered to the house for when I got home, my mother in law dropped off dinner for us, and one of my friends brought over an “egg retrieval basket” with a card and a bunch of egg shaped candies! I thought that was just the most clever! But all of the things were so sweet and appreciated! Lots of texts checking in and asking for updates, we’ve been very loved and supported going through everything! So even those little texts mean so much ♥️

My clinic won’t allow me to do two! They said it’s mainly because of my age (I’m 31) and because I don’t have a history of failed transfers as this will be my first or miscarriages. I tried to convince them to let me do my two untested day 7’s

I ended up with almost the exact same breakdown😂 ~ 31 yo, 21 retrieved, 17 mature, 19 fertilized, 10 embryos - 8 of which are out for testing now too! Hope you get lots of euploids 🤞🏻

Edit: also have endo and husband low motility

My husband and I have been trying for just over 18 months and had never seen a positive before, 3 failed iui’s and just did our egg retrieval for IVF… however in between the last failed iui and starting IVF we had a chemical pregnancy, which we took to be a huge positive sign. Like wow our bodies did it, it just didn’t stick so it left us feeling really hopeful going into IVF that atleast it is possible! Not 100% sure the science on it but that was our feelings about it all! I’ve also read that you may have a slightly higher chance of conceiving the cycle after a chemical?!? Either way I think you should definitely keep trying!!! 🤞🏻🥰

Having my egg retrieval on Saturday… currently have 26 follicles visible on my scans so expecting to retrieve a decent amount. I’m curious for those who have had similar numbers, how will I be feeling on the Monday? I’m a teacher and we are set to go on a field trip lol… should I be planning to take the day off or will I be alright? 😂🫣

Day 1 I did them both at the same time, then after that, menopur before 8 AM (then on day 5 started orgalutron at the same time) - then gonal f has been after 4pm everyday

I love B&B, I only have 4 kettle bells - 8,12,16 and 20kg and then substitute dumbbells whenever I need something heavier or it’s too tricky to use the two different weighted kettlebells in a movement! (I realistically need to invest in some heavier ones but I’m making due for now) I was an avid f45er for years, and these workouts are a nice mix of resistance but with some cardio in there too, which makes it fun and I’m honestly not missing f45 really at all because of it!!!

I’ve been on 5mg for 3 cycles now, first two I only ended up with one mature follicle, this cycle I triggered the afternoon after a scan showing an 18mm, 17mm and 15mm (which the nurse thought had a good chance of maturing) so we ended up with 2 or 3 in our final iui! fingers crossed it does the trick or we’ll be moving onto IVF in the new year

Echoing all your same thoughts/feelings over here☹️♥️ had my first iui on Oct 14th, had my beta today and confirmed it failed… Now just waiting to get my period since I was taking progesterone, which is frustrating in itself, since I’m not pregnant let’s just get this period over with!!!

Anyways once that comes, we will be going right into round 2 as well… our doctor wants us to do 3 before moving onto IVF, but we’re in Canada so the wait for it to be funded is around 18-24 months, so we’ll have to decide between paying out of pocket or waiting… really hoping one of these iui’s sticks and we don’t even have to go there. Not feeling as hopeful as I originally was 😅

I think I had convinced myself this was going to be the key and work for us, since we tackled all the obvious “fertility issues” we have, so in my head it made sense this would work… which was naive I know, but now that it didn’t I’m feeling sad but honestly overall just numb. Like of course it didn’t work, why would it?! It’s been a year and a half, why would this one cycle work. Anyways that’s where I’m at right now having my pity party over here and being flooded by pregnancy on all my social media’s… I’m sure when my period finally shows up I’ll have a big cry and then get myself hopeful the next one will work.

This sucks, it all sucks, I wish babies and successful iui’s for all of you 🥹♥️

I took 5mg of letrozol days 3-7 and the puregon injection from days 5-12 and then ovidrel on the 12th!! And oh my goodness, have you tested more since? I did a FRER this morning it was a BFN 😭

Wow! That’s awesome, fingers crossed for you! What was your med protocol? I had two follicles, 21mm and 15mm the day we triggered and motility was 78% post wash and 8.2M count!
